An Art Alternative to the Shaanxi History Museum

I was traveling to Xi'an and couldn't get a ticket to the Shaanxi History Museum, but a kind taxi driver recommended this underrated museum to me: Anrenfang. It is located in the first row east of Zhuque Street in Tang Chang'an City, south of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, and covers an area of about 6,100 square meters. The Anrenfang Site Exhibition Hall is centered around the Tang Dynasty Anrenfang Residence Site, which was discovered through archaeological excavations. It presents the life of the people of Tang Chang'an City from multiple dimensions, including their homes, clothing, and music. Unlike the Shaanxi History Museum, which is heavy and overwhelming, it is full of more humanistic design and artistic installations. It is not only photogenic, but also has a stronger sense of space and artistic appreciation. It is suitable for literary and artistic youth, and you can wear Hanfu to take photos without being crowded. It is really a quiet and beautiful place. PS: Anrenfang is free to visit, but you need to make a reservation in advance. Generally, if there are no special exhibitions or holidays, you can make a reservation 2-3 days in advance. You cannot bring drinks or food inside, but there is a designated storage area at the entrance. It is recommended not to bring too much food to avoid losing it or it going bad due to the weather.
