Yakushima and Kagoshima: Ferries are the most affordable way to travel!

One of the transportation options between Yakushima and Kagoshima is by ferry. The journey takes about 4 hours, allowing you to travel leisurely between the two locations. Near Yakushima, you can enjoy views of its majestic mountains and beautiful sea, while approaching Kagoshima offers a close-up experience of the impressive Sakurajima volcano. Other options include flights and high-speed boats, but ferries are the cheapest. However, they do take the longest time. Therefore, ferries are recommended for those who want to enjoy the scenery at a relaxed pace. This time, we boarded the "Ferry Yakushima 2." There is another ferry available, which takes longer but is cheaper.
