A must-see in Yangzhou, a travel destination that even Emperor Qianlong couldn't get enough of.

Yangzhou is a city full of ancient charm and cultural atmosphere. This time, I visited Dongguan Street, Bingou Museum, Pishi Street, and the Former Residence of Zhu Ziqing. Dongguan Street was once the hub of water and land transportation and the commercial center of Yangzhou. The street is lined with shops, including time-honored brands such as Simei Pickles and Xie Fuchun Perfume. The stone-paved road and ancient buildings are full of charm. Street food such as hot dried tofu, crab roe soup dumplings, and thousand-layer oil cakes are available. The East Gate Ruins and Dongguan Ancient Ferry Wharf are also worth a visit, and the Grand Canal adds to the charm. Bingou Museum was renovated from the original site of a salt merchant's mansion and is a Hui-style architectural complex in a quiet place. It has nine courtyards and seven entrances and exits. The rooms and atrium are cleverly laid out, and the interior combines Zen and modern design with high-end facilities. The public area has a tea room, coffee shop, and more, and is a great place to take photos. You can enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea and delicious morning tea here. Pishi Street is connected to Wenchang Road in the north and Guangling Road in the south. It has a rich history and is a provincial-level tourist and leisure street. The street has a strong artistic atmosphere, with specialty shops, cafes, and bookstores complementing the ancient buildings. The graffiti on the walls is interesting, and there are all kinds of food. The "Dream as a Horse" cultural IP attracts tourists to check in. The Former Residence of Zhu Ziqing is located at No. 27 Anle Lane and is a "three-in-one" building from the late Qing Dynasty. There is a plaque above the doorway, and the interior is simple and rustic. The study and bedroom contain Zhu Ziqing's relics, and the living room and side rooms display the life scenes of the Zhu family. There is a statue of Zhu Ziqing in the center of the foyer. During this trip to Yangzhou, each of these places had its own charm, allowing me to appreciate the unique charm of Yangzhou, which is worth reminiscing about.
