Kamon-Yama Park

#thingstodo About a 20-minute walk from JR Sakuragicho Station, walk towards Yokohama on the elevated promenade of the former Toyoko Line, then climb Momijizaka from the Momijizaka intersection. The Kanagawa Prefectural Youth Center will be on your right, so if you enter just before that on your right, you will see the park entrance at the end. The park is divided into two main blocks: a Japanese-style garden with a promenade suitable for walking, and a large plaza with children's play equipment. There is a large bronze statue of Naosuke li, who contributed to the opening of Yokohama Port, in the park. Many cherry blossoms in the park bloom in spring, making it a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Yokohama. This year, due to the influence of the coronavirus, I think there will be fewer people, but if you plan to visit, I recommend visiting early in the morning.
