📖 A journey to a secret place of mountains, rivers, and books|A day visit to Yongjia Academy~

📖 A Secret Journey to a Land of Mountains, Rivers, and Books | A Day at Yongjia Academy ~ I had originally planned to just wander around, but unexpectedly, I stumbled into a celestial back garden. This trip to Yongjia Academy felt like stumbling into a poet's landscape painting—the scenery was tranquil, but walking was a bit tiring. The interweaving of mountains, forests, waterfalls, suspension bridges, ancient pavilions, and the scholarly atmosphere of the literati left a lasting impression on me of this spiritual paradise hidden deep within Wenzhou. Entering the academy grounds, we were first greeted by a tranquil forest path, shaded by lush greenery, a constant whisper of whispers between trees and the wind. The academy's buildings were quaint and elegant, and the Nanxi River gurgled gently. Because it was so comfortable, my friends and I decided to take off our shoes and walk barefoot on the soft grass and stream, connecting with nature for a rare moment... As our soles touched the warmth of the earth, each step felt like a pampering with Mother Earth... A long-awaited escape from the hustle and bustle of life, a deep embrace with nature. Walking along the path, we crossed an ancient suspension bridge. The wobbly bridge seemed to beckon us, "Welcome to a photo paradise that'll blow your phone's memory!" The stream beneath us was so clear it could reflect my pride. Every five steps, I wanted to take a photo, and every ten, I wanted to scream, "Why isn't this a World Heritage Site? I don't understand!!" My friend laughed... There was also a stone bridge. The stream meandered beneath us, and the piles of stones shimmered in the sunlight, creating a beautiful scene. The water here was neither noisy nor agitated, flowing quietly. Halfway across the bridge, I simply sat down on the bridge stone, listening to the wind and watching the clouds. I wasn't going to leave, haha! I actually sat there for quite a while! Looking up, I saw layers of mountains in the distance, like a dream, beckoning me through layers of mist... The majestic waterfall cascaded down, its cascade a breathtaking spectacle. The water droplets in the air transformed into a shower of flowers, and the air was filled with the spiritual energy of nature and phytoncides. Standing in front of the waterfall, I deliberately raised my hand to take a fun photo of "holding the waterfall," as if wanting to gently embrace this spiritual energy of nature in my palm, to bring it into my own little universe. The academy's scenery along the way was breathtaking, with each small attraction more breathtaking than the next, and its vast expanse meant I couldn't actually explore it all this time. (Unfortunately, if you climb to the top, there's God's Hand and a glass skywalk, but I'll have to leave that for another visit.) The gardens, with their numerous natural stone benches and bamboo groves, evoke a very Zen atmosphere. The design of Yongjia Academy isn't flashy, but its understated beauty leaves one speechless... In this space, where the fragrance of wood and the air of books intertwine, even if you're a 3C addict, you'll suddenly want to read some poetry, write a few lines, or even just quietly become a part of the scenery. And here, it's just such an energy station, where you can automatically enter a state of mindful relaxation. #Wenzhou #Yongjia Academy #Yongjia Landscape Poetry Cradle #Jinzhu Waterfall #Moving, Stillness #The Sound of the Stream Reflects on the Long Tongue, the Mountain Scenery Is Pure and Pure #Bamboo Rafting #A Cultural Scenic Spot Blending Streams, Waterfalls, Canyons, and Forests #Grateful to my Wenzhou friends for bringing me here #Wenzhou is Much Like Taiwan #Travel with Joe Mei
