The museum is housed in the Cordón Palace, a 16th-century building in Zamora’s old town, and is divided into two clearly distinguished sections: the archaeological section, containing works from prehistory to the modern day, and the fine arts, which has an important collection of sculptures and paintings from the 14th to the 20th centuries.
