Wai Lingding Island 🏝️

There are many Islands close to Zhuhai so we had to pick one for a day trip. After some research and the locals recommendation we picked Wai Lingding. 

To get there we firstly had to take a ferry boat for 90 minuets. It was easy to buy tickets at the port from a machine using WeChat wallet but you could also get the tickets over the counter. 

Upon arrival it was easy to find the way around this place and we started with the beach. 

Later we walked along the rocky coastline on the other side and hiked to the top of the mountain. This was absolutely worth it when we saw the view from the top. It took us less than 1 hour. 

My friend bought a lot of dried fish and shrimps from a local lady to take back to friends and family in Beijing. 

Beautiful island with a seafood market and a street full of restaurants. If you like seafood this is a really nice place to spend an afternoon. 

The island do have quite a few hotels as well but we just made it a day trip and after walking around to all the major hotspots it was time to take the ferry boat back to Zhuhai. #zhuhai #beach #travel #china #wailingding
