Zhang Ailing's footprints and several national heritage sites

In a village in Zhuji, Shaoxing, there are 3 national key cultural relics protection units and 2 provincial key cultural relics protection units. Sizhai Village was built in the second year of the Qianyou period of the Later Han Dynasty (949 AD). From the late Tang Dynasty to the present, the Si family has been a prominent family in Jiyang. The village has preserved a large number of ancient residential buildings from the Qing Dynasty, among which Qianzhu House and Xiaxin House are national key cultural relics. ⭐Qianzhu House Built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, it was the residence of Si Yuanru (1753–1822), a local tycoon. It covers an area of more than 6,900 square meters, with eight courtyards, 118 rooms, and 32 alleys. The doors, windows, columns, beams, and brackets in the house are exquisitely carved. The bluestone relief above the main gate and the "Hundred Horses" mural on the wall of the main house are the highlights. ⭐Xiaxin House (Faxiang Residence) The best-preserved house in the Si family ancient residential building complex, built in the seventh year of the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1802). 🚶🏻Tour route: Huaguo Villa - Simin Primary School - New Tan House - Yuchanghao - Small Western-style House - Xiaxin House - Shangxin House - Qianzhu House/Bifeng Academy The ancient buildings in Sizhai are far apart, so it is recommended to drive. 📣Republic of China In 1946, Zhang Ailing spent the New Year in the small Western-style house in Sizhai and wrote "Record of a Foreign Land" and other works. Kang Youwei wrote a plaque for Simin Primary School.
