My family and I recently went on a 8D7N trip to Osaka, Japan and we stayed at Hotel Gracery Osaka Namba which was located near Jr Namba. We travelled using the OCAT bus from Kansai International Airport to our hotel as the hotel is located just right beside the Bus Terminal. The hotel is within walking distance to the subway and the massive underpass will also bring you to the iconic Dotonbori. During the stay at Osaka, we also travelled to Koyasan, Ama-no-Hishidate, Ine, Miyamachokita. The views were absolutely mesmerising. Food there was definitely a bomb! I think my waist just grew by a few inches in that trip. 🥲 P.s. Can I also mention the affordable price of Kura Sushi?! Our schedule for the day was just right: we took slow walks and ate while walking during the day, strolling from noon all the way to night, walking easily and eating satisfyingly. Take a stroll along the canal, with neon lights flashing and giant signs bustling on both sides. Watch the cruise ships slowly passing by and smell the aroma of takoyaki and barbecue in the air. Every step here is full of Osaka characteristics. 🦀Chinese food: Business lunch at Crab Doraemon At noon we chose to have a business lunch at Crab Dao Le. The classic giant crab sign is like a landmark, letting you know "I am in Osaka" in one second. The portion size for the business lunch is just right and the price is more affordable than dinner, but you can still eat a lot of crab dishes, including crab hotpot, steamed egg custard and crab croquettes. Each dish is fresh and delicate, and it is a high-end yet simple enjoyment. 🍜Dinner: Local and affordable Jinlong Ramen At night, change the style and go to the popular and affordable ramen restaurant Jinlong Ramen. The red dragon sign is very recognizable, and the main feature is the rich and mellow pork bone soup. Although the ingredients are simple, you can adjust the soup to your favorite taste with the free garlic, leeks, and spicy bean sprouts. After finishing a whole bowl, you will feel very satisfied and it won’t hurt your wallet. It is the kind of "common people's food" that you will want to revisit late at night.

I went to Japan in late summer when the summer was almost over. The journey starts with Osaka and You never been to Japan until you see the Glico Man and walk along the Dotonbori. The Then. Never forget to visit Osaka Castle where you can see the whole Osaka from the top. Kyoto is where history just bleeds with visit to Arashiyama Bamboo forest and The Fushimi Inari Shrine. Tokyo is best of both worlds with all about modern skyline meets nature as you visits streets of Tokyo as Godzilla watches over you. And you can never leave Japan if you haven’t see Mr Fuji standing tall. Potter head will love Japan as you get to visit The Wizarding World in USJ and The Warner’s Bro Studio in Tokyo. It's a really fun area to walk around. There's a lot of food and shopping. Everything is complete in one place. When I went, I stayed near Dotonburi and walked out to buy food every night. When I had free time, I stopped by Donki. 🤩 The shop lights are so beautiful. You can take cool pictures. The highlight menu is takoyaki, which is near the train station entrance. It's a shop with a big octopus picture. 🐙 There are a lot of people. It seems to be a famous shop here. The texture is different from Thailand because they make soft dough. Tako yaki in dotonbori is must try food. Almost available on every shops and stalls Osaka castle is worth a visit. Cool park and long walk. Very clean and not crowded. If you come during cherry blossom, you will see beautiful colours of flowers and plants. Ticket can be purchased at Castle entrance. Public toilet is limited. So plan your drinks and meals carefully 🤣. I stayed Ark Hotel Shinsaibashi. Atop of osaka subways system and accessible on every corner of the buildings. I can easily access train service heading to Kyoto, it was beautiful journey. Foreign currency exchange kiosk(machine) available on every hot spot in Osaka, including most hotels. But the rates are not favourable. Subway/train fee can be purchased at Kansai airport upon arrival, or you can purchase Icoca or Suica card directly from your Apple Wallet . Very convenient and avoid long Q at kiosk machine. Unfortunately, during my visit payment for train service cannot be paid using credit/debit card. Public bus is convenient, and fix fare. You must enter bus through back door , and to exit proceed to front door and make payment via card of icoca or suica and cash (exact amount) around ¥200+- . Dotonbori is a must visit. Full of street food and shopping stalls. Shinsaibashi suji shopping street is tax free for tourist for receipt spending above ¥5000 , claim at the airport. Keep the receipt. Branded items are available here, including jewelleries and branded luxury watch like Tissot, Kuoe, Rolex and Longines. American village if you want more westernised cloth. Street are narrow and beware of incoming vehicles from behind . Universal Studios Osaka- good place and very very crowded and expensive.
