Emerging from Jiuxian Hot Springs, a twenty-minute drive along the mountain road brought me to Baizhang Temple. The name Baizhang Temple originates from the Tang Dynasty monk Huaihai, who established the *Baizhang Rules of Purity* here. The saying, "No work, no food," is said to have originated from this place.
