A small town with unique scenery located between the inland mountains and the Mediterranean Sea
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Valencia (Region)
The area has a vast sandy strip of almost five kilometres along its coastline and offers a wide range of tourist infrastructure and services, making it one of the most attractive destinations on the Valencian coast. Gandia is a ducal city with a glorious past, which can be seen in its historic part, where important buildings such as the Ducal Palace, the Collegiate Church and the Old University still bear the mark of Duke Juan de Borja. Its festivals (some of which are declared tourist attractions) and typical Valencian gastronomy are some of the other attractions this town offers.
Gandia is located on the Costa Valencia, a beautiful area along the Mediterranean Sea with a mountainous landscape that extends almost to the sea. This Valencian city has a pleasant climate all year round and its excellent beaches attract those seeking sun, sea and a variety of sports. In the harbour area, deep-rooted nautical traditions coexist with the most modern facilities, including a sailing club that will delight all fans of windsurfing, sailing or diving.
There is nearly five kilometers of coastline on both sides of the harbor, with beautiful fine golden sand beaches crisscrossing each other. A long and busy seaside promenade marks the boundary of North Beach, which is located in an easily accessible area and offers a variety of services, including a place to rent sailing equipment. Hotels, restaurants, discos and terraces give the place a great atmosphere, especially on summer nights.
Those looking for a more intimate setting should go to the extreme north of the coast, where, surrounded by dunes, lies the quiet L'Ahuir Beach, which is about two kilometers long.
There are two other beaches to the south of the harbour, Venecia and Rafalcaid. It is surrounded by a series of small sand dunes, both of which allow you to enjoy a refreshing swim in a beautiful natural setting.
