La Pobla de Lillet, 2 hours drive north from Barcelona, is a small mountain village nestled in between valleys and crossed by the Llobregat river. 🏔️ It boasts excellent local cuisine and typical mountain architectural features: like cobblestone covered streets, tilted black roofs and stone walls. 🌲 Amazingly, through the tourist office you can get the key to climb up the bell tower of the church, quite a unique experience that will allow you enjoy the views of the village from the top. 🔔 La Pobla de Lillet is a great chance for a tranquil getaway not too far from Barcelona, and extra tip: it holds a secret garden that was designed by Catalan master architect Antoni Gaudí, more about this in another post, be sure yo check it out 😊 #localescapes

We were also able to actually walk down the alleys of houses from 200 years ago, which was a great memory ❣️ The Arc de Triomf was about a 5-minute walk from here! Without much effort, you can take in these spectacular landscapes. The terrain is not too rugged, allowing you to relax and breathe in the fresh air. It's truly magnificent to immerse yourself in the various shades of green that nature offers in its purest form. The surrounding mountains make you feel unique. It's perfect for spending a morning or an entire day with family. I was able to see Tibidabo and Collserola. It's also easy to spot bearded vultures. Make sure to dress warmly in winter.

You can see numerous streams scattered among the rocks, creating a stunning and entirely natural scene. This is a humid area, so you must wear shoes suitable for slippery surfaces to avoid the risk of falling. Accessibility is quite challenging, and wheelchairs are not feasible. At the entrance of the area, there is a bar/restaurant where you can enjoy a drink. They offer sandwiches and some dishes. Starting from the town of Castellar de n'Hug, it takes about 10 minutes, or approximately 3 to 4 minutes from the parking lot. You can also reach the area via stairs. The river's source is located here, making for a pleasant and easy visit.

Park Guell is one of Barcelona's many World Heritage sites. Tickets for the day were sold out, so we recommend purchasing tickets in advance. This is the most colorful place in Gaudi's architecture. The original design blends into the park, and you can enjoy a space that harmonizes with nature. You'll be enchanted by the fairy-tale-like buildings and colorful decorations. The famous lizard statue and benches are great photo spots. There are many benches, so many people take a break and look at the view. There is also a souvenir shop. There are books by Gaudi and lizard-themed goods. This is a recommended place for people who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the park and who like colorful architecture.
