Beijing! ! Beijing! ! It was worth crying and I didn’t want to check out! Tired of being asked
When I go to Beijing in the future... lock up this small courtyard in the suburbs of Beijing! Sisters who travel to Beijing must know about this fairy courtyard! ①The yard is lush🌲You can see the small courtyard through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the house~It is very quiet and feels like the years are peaceful~ ②The living room is filled with flowers🌸, and there is an oversized dining table where you can have dinner and chat together ③There is also a small study room on the second floor , the full bookshelves are still basking in the sun: ④Three independent bedrooms, all with independent bathrooms 🚻Can be used for family gatherings, and you can also have a meal with your girlfriends and friends ⛳: Beijing - Huairou District

Beijing - Huairou
Beijing - Huairou district, Huairou reservoir.
There is a park right next to the reservoir and at night time it was ver beautiful over there. The Illumination is just amazing. The reservoir is getting completely frozen in winter ❄️🧊
It is like a very small version of the bund In Shanghai but with a lake and mountain view instead of river and skyscrapers 🏙️😄
it is also very beautiful in summer with the green trees all over…

Beautiful Mutianyu Great Wall!
I stayed at the Mutianyu Great Wall scenic area one day in advance, and took the cable car to the 14th watchtower early the next morning. Although it was a public holiday, because I arrived early, the Great Wall was empty and very beautiful and magnificent! It’s best to travel off-peak ~ You must come to see the Great Wall once in your lifetime! The cultural heritage of the Chinese nation!

Mutianyu Great Wall is stunning!
Mutianyu is about a two hour drive from Beijing and includes one of the most famous sections of the Great Wall. For anyone that has spent time in China will know, getting clear air was a huge challenge the past decade or so, but as the government has shifted its emphasis from low end manufacturing to high end manufacturing and services, the air quality has been improving in leaps and bounds. However, even with those improvements, it’s still rare to get a perfect day, given humidity, sand storms, and/or just having boring blue skies.
Imagine our luck that the day we were to arrive in San Sa Village, the weather forecast said it would be heavy rain the entire two nights we would be there. The locals said that it had been raining in the mountains the past two weeks with no blue skies or sunshine in sight. Consider then the turn of luck we had when the heavens opened, and shortly after, the skies cleared, leaving us with air quality like I haven’t seen on any of my visits to the Great Wall.
In one image, you can see the Beijing Central Business District (CBD) of Guomao, including the new CITIC Tower, Zaha Hadid’s SOHO buildings and the CCTV Tower. This is from 80km away! I may never experience these conditions again, so I’m so grateful I had the wonderful GFX100S on hand to capture it all with 102MP of glorious detail!
To get to the highest point, we took the gondola up to station 14 and then hiked up to station 20. The last two stations were quite difficult and challenged our legs as well as our minds. The last station especially has a near vertical climb which gave me intense butterflies in my stomach. I couldn’t look down for fear of getting frozen with anxiety. We hiked 102 floors and 12.4km to get to station 20. Once at the top, the views were worth it, but coming down meant a pretty frightening and slow descent!
I hope you enjoy these images from the Great Wall of China!

Amazing experience!
my trip to Mutianyu was absolutely amazing! We booked a driver for the day from our hotel(near temple of heaven). The drive took about 80mins or so. I definitely recommend hiring a driver as it gets very busy and I honestly don’t know how you’d get a cab or DiDi back to the city of Beijing. We arrived at the opening time and we were lucky to have the wall almost to ourselves for about an hour. It started getting very busy around 9:30 or so. Have a great trip and I suggest riding the Toboggan down the mountain, tons of fun!

Who here h
Who here has also hiked the Great Wall in the blazing summer heat? 🙋🏻♀️ We decided to go on a spontaneous adventure and found ourselves gliding up to the wall in a frightening chairlift, leaping up the stairs of the Mutianyu section, marvelling at the lush greenery surrounding us, taking shelter in the watch towers to inhale our water supply before tobogganing back down again 1.5 hours later 🌠 ⠀

Mutianyu Great Wall
Not the most visited section of the Great Wall but i would highly recommend for those visiting Beijing to check this one. Badaling section is the tourist area so this area has less people with the same magnificent view and beauty of the Great Wall. Take the cable ride up and walk thru the walls way down to the tobogan ride. The tobogan ride takes around 5 mins. going down and is so fun. Accessible by bus from the city.

Lakeside Great Wall
It is quite rare to see the inner section of Great Wall which is more of an additional protection to both dead💀 and alive, in the past. Yes, the Huanghuacheng (黄花城) section of Great Wall was built during Ming dynasty to protect further invasion from North. Also there are kings🤴 who have built mausoleum in here, which the wall protects. Although the main purpose of Wall 🧱 is security, it also has provided a scenic view combining both lake and mountain. This is more of a wild section of Great Wall where you can do some hiking; which after 5 hours will lead you to Mutianyu section. Thus section acts as a connectivity between other sections of the Wall. We did a hiking🥾 of three hours then returned back. Be sure to have your own sanitary things and food, as it is tough to buy around here. Otherwise, it is really a fun trip !! 🥳 #couplestrip #greatwallofchina #hiking

The Great Wall - Lakeside
One of the sections of the Great Wall that is obviously by the lake. Some of the portions of the wall are already submerged after a long time. It is a nice place to go since you can enjoy walking up and down the mountains and also have a nice view of the lake.

"Third tim
"Third time's a charm" they say... My third visit to the wall was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We drove 4 hours from Beijing and hiked/camped on the wall. What an experience! Having the wall all to ourselves was unforgettable. The Chinese don't call the wall the "Great Wall," they call it the "10,000 Li (a Chinese unit of length ~0.5km) Long Wall". #万里长城 #greatwall

Rather tha
Rather than hiking and being touristy, 长城 (Great Wall) can also be fun. And the Mutianyu section gave exactly that to us. So this time we decided to take on a jolly ride than stretching too much. To go up the Great Wall we took the rope car, and what's fun in it is; not a closed one. Also when we are about to board the rope car, it doesn't stop and take the passengers; it keeps moving on. You have to jump into it and soon after that, it takes flight to the top of Great Wall haha. On the top, we went to the sightseeing lens that let you see for 10¥/min. Later on our way down, we took the Toboggan ride which is the super fun part of it. Yes, all you have is a lever that let you control the brake; otherwise it's a gravitational slide 😂 Also in Mutianyu you have the helicopter ride, which is a bit expensive (obviously); but worth it for once in a lifetime flying over the Great Wall.
The day 2 we embarked on a spiritual journey, that led us to the Lama temple and the Confucius temple. It felt so divine in the morning and as it is early spring; the birds and freshly grown leaves in the trees gave a different level of experience.
As always in Beijing, the last day of the trip is food exploration (including Peking duck) and we did some shopping in the Wangfujing street. In the evening we went to a Russian ballet show, and as always magical. #qingmingtravel #urbanexplorer #greatwall

During a spontaneous weekend away, we found ourselves gliding up the Great Wall in a chairlift, leaping up the stairs of the Mutianyu section of the great wall, marvelling at the lsuh greenery surrounding this wonder of the world, before toboganning back down again 2 hours later. A weekend hiking up and along the wall always makes for a fun, adventure-filled weekend, and it's amazing to think that this incredible part of China's history and culture is mere hours away from Shanghai by train.
In addition to an afternoon hike, we filled our weekend with other architectural wonders that can be found in Beijing - Temple of Heaven, Ming Tombs, Summer Palace - as a well as a spot of art and culture with with an opera performance.

Our trip t
Our trip to Beijing started off at the Mutianyu Great Wall entrance! we were surprised that it actually wasn’t the horror story of crowds that everyone talks about when visiting the Great Wall!
We had room to breeze our way through and views for days (partly due to the fact that no one wants to travel to China during the pandemic...). I highly suggest booking MuBus Family Tours to get you out to the wall, they will take care of everything and give you an amazing experience.

The Mutianyu Great Wall is a gorgeous landmark that cannot missed when visiting Beijing. We chose to ride the chair lift round trip and it was worth it. We had ample time to explore the Great Wall and the scenery was breathtaking. The temperature was perfect (21C) for an early October morning.
