· Diverse scenery that rivals anywhere: 5A-level Taoist sacred mountain Kongtong, millennium-old grottoes, vast forests, alpine meadows, hot springs and wellness—all in one trip
· Affordable and enjoyable: Attraction tickets cost only a few dozen yuan, farm stays offer all-you-can-eat meals for 30–40 CNY per person, and a 3-day, 2-night trip costs about 600–800 CNY per person

📌 Pingliang travel tips (important)
1. Big temperature difference between day and night: 25℃+ and short sleeves during the day, only 10℃+ at night. Bring a windbreaker or light jacket (especially needed for night visits to Kongtong Mountain)
2. Sunscreen is a must: High altitude means strong UV rays. Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat
3. Wear non-slip shoes: Kongtong Mountain has many steps, Longquan Temple trails can be slippery. Sneakers are safest
4. Book accommodation early: Kongtong Ancient Town homestays are popular in July and August. Book 5–7 days in advance
5. Bring snacks and water: Some mountain areas have limited commercial facilities, so it’s safer to bring your own food
6. Bring mosquito repellent: Many mosquitoes near forests and water
7. Combine driving, high-speed train, and taxis: Attractions are spread out. There are car rentals at Pingliang Station. Private car hire costs about 300 CNY/day
