Yakurai Garden
Located in Kami Town, Miyagi Prefecture, Yakurai Garden is a flower garden filled with picturesque spots 🪻. The flowers change with the seasons, and during winter, you can enjoy nighttime illuminations. I visited during Golden Week, and the garden was stunning with pansies, tulips, and rapeseed flowers in full bloom. Unfortunately, the nemophila flowers hadn't bloomed yet 💦.
The garden opens at 10 AM, but there was already a line forming about 15 minutes before opening. Purchasing tickets at the vending machine took some time, so I had to wait a bit. If you buy tickets online, you can skip the ticket line, which might be more convenient. Admission is ¥800.
The garden isn't overly large, so you likely won't get too tired walking around. Depending on your pace, two hours should be enough to leisurely explore the area.
The soft serve ice cream sold at the entrance was incredibly delicious. You can buy it even without entering the garden 🍦.
