A Dining Experience at the Yongjia Hotel in Ledong We finally managed to get together with family and friends, and chose a private room at the Yongjia Hotel in Ledong for our meal. The overall experience exceeded our expectations ✨. The private room was spacious and airy, with a large, comfortable round table. The environment was clean and elegant, equipped with a TV, and offered excellent privacy. It's suitable for family gatherings, small get-togethers with friends, or even small business banquets. The round table even had a built-in rotating dish for warming dishes, so we didn't have to worry about the food getting cold—a thoughtful touch. The meal was plentiful and varied, with a balanced mix of main dishes and stir-fries. The golden-brown, crispy fried pork ribs were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor, and paired with special rolls for a rich texture. The tender beef with green peppers was cooked to perfection, the beef smooth and flavorful, with a spicy and appetizing kick. The steamed grouper was tender and sweet, retaining the original flavor of the seafood. The cashew stir-fry was generously portioned, with crunchy nuts and refreshing vegetables, along with local vegetables, clams, and other dishes, all with flavors that perfectly captured the authentic Hainanese taste, with a well-balanced saltiness. The portions were generous, the food was served quickly and efficiently, and the service in the private rooms was prompt. A table full of hot dishes and soup, enjoyed while chatting and eating, created a particularly pleasant atmosphere. Holding a banquet in the private rooms of Yongjia Hotel was a hassle-free experience – the food was reliable, the environment was elegant, and I would definitely choose this place again for future gatherings and banquets.

Hainan Island Self-Driving Tour: Sanya Station This is a counter-clockwise Hainan island tour. Currently, the route starts from Haikou, passing through Lingao, Danzhou, Changjiang, Dongfang, and Ledong, before arriving in Sanya. The western section of the island tour from Haikou to Sanya has been successfully completed. Since I've been to Sanya before and visited most of the attractions, this time I stayed in a relatively remote area, in Tianya Town near Tianya Haijiao, because I haven't been to Xidao Island nearby. Sanya is definitely worth a week for a dedicated trip. 🎡Attractions: Xidao Island, besides Wuzhizhou Island, is one of the most frequently mentioned and compared islands in Sanya tourism. If time is limited and I could only choose one, I'd choose Wuzhizhou Island. The way to get around is similar: buy tickets at the pier and take a boat to the island. There are several types of tickets: those that only include the boat ride to and from the island, or those that include electric cart rides to Niwang Island and Turtle Beach (Turtle Beach cannot be reached on foot without the cart). After arriving on the island, there's a large visitor center. Exiting through the left gate leads to a walkable beach and fishing village. The beach has many installations and crooked trees, perfect for taking photos. You can rent electric carts from villagers to explore the fishing village, but the village is quite small, so it's not really necessary. Hidden in the center of the village are some well-preserved seashell houses, which are quite unique. Exiting through the middle gate of the visitor center, you can take an electric cart first to Turtle Beach, then to Bull King Island, and back. Alternatively, you can walk directly to Bull King Island from the right side of the electric cart route. Turtle Beach is mainly rocky, with many small fish. If you're bringing children, you can prepare some props, but they quickly disappear under the rocks and into holes, making them almost impossible to catch – just enjoy the fun! However, there were absolutely no snails or small seashells to be found. Bull King Island has a short uphill path, but it's not very high, offering a panoramic view of the sea. There's a large golden bull statue on the hill. Tianya Town itself isn't considered a tourist attraction; the nearby Tianya Haijiao (End of the Earth) is. If you happen to be nearby, there are plenty of places to shop and eat, and also many guesthouses. However, for your overall Sanya travel plan, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Even small rooms aren't cheap, it's far from other attractions, the roads are often congested, and parking isn't convenient. 🍴Food: Lao He's Hou'an Rice Noodles & Zhaobo Vinegar Seafood Hot Pot (Tianya Town Branch). There are so many names for Hainan rice noodles, and I'm not entirely sure what Hou'an rice noodles are or what the differences are, but the taste was quite good. The Zhaobo Vinegar Hot Pot is also worth trying—it's spicy and sour. Shengji Seafood Stall (Tianya Town Branch) is also a guesthouse. The seafood is fresh and tastes good. The mantis shrimp are huge and full of roe, and the owner even helps peel them—so kind of him, I always hurt my hands peeling shrimp. Also, seeing that we had elderly people, the owner specially prepared both spicy and non-spicy versions of the golden pomfret.

Occasionally, locals from the Li ethnic group venture into the mountains to forage, stepping lightly so as not to disturb the wilderness. Schools of fish glide through the shallows, while birds and wildlife remain tucked away in the dense woods. Flora sprouts, blooms, and sheds leaves in sync with the changing seasons. We drove all the way up to the highest peak of Jianfengling. Along the way, we saw streams, rocks, forests, and lakes. The place is peaceful, and the water is clear. It feels like stepping back into ancient times. The air is fresh, and the streams gently flow. While enjoying the mountains and waters, we unknowingly arrived at the Tianchi Lake of Jianfengling. Tianchi Lake is located above 1,300 meters in elevation, covering a total area of 278 mu. It is the largest inland natural freshwater lake on the mainland of China and the second largest natural freshwater lake in Hainan Province. Surrounded by high mountains and shaded by green trees, the scenery is enchanting, like being in a natural forest bath. Sitting by the lake, quietly watching the sparkling surface of Tianchi Lake, the water is clear and sweet. A gentle breeze ripples the lake, water birds play in the water, and occasionally you can see frogs jumping. It’s a marvel of nature’s craftsmanship!
