Redoine: Gave me the wrong room type but ended up changing it back to the proper one. The staff was incredible and super helpful. The food was totally awful and way too expensive. Please do not eat dinner there, buffet was probably the worst I’ve ever had.

Rather than saying he was a host, it would be better to say he was a good friend-from the moment we arrived, he started to help us plan our route, recommend restaurants, itineraries, and take us out to play. He knew what we wanted to see and experience, and always patiently helped us arrange it. He gave us a lot of advice along the way, which I really appreciated. The place to stay was also very comfortable, very quiet and safe. I felt like I was home every day when I returned to the lodge. If you are planning to travel to Kasane, I highly recommend it. This is not just accommodation, but also a very warm experience.

What one sees on each voyage on the Chobe River is entirely up to luck and fortune. The Chobe River's channel is sometimes as wide as a lake, sometimes narrow and rushing into grassy beaches, winding between Botswana and Namibia, with the calm and beautiful surface hiding cold-blooded, fearsome crocodiles and hippos that can bite a boat in half when enraged.
