Stayed at Xingkong Suji in Guyuan, the aftereffects are strong.
✨ A summer resort paradise named by National Geographic, few people, beautiful scenery, and low prices
Guyuan is really low-key. It clearly has such great summer resort resources, yet not many people know about it. The average summer temperature is 18℃, more comfortable than an air-conditioned room, and the key is fewer people and low prices, making it especially enjoyable to visit.

🏛️ Guyuan Museum
The first stop to understand Xihai Gu, free and informative
Whenever I visit a place, I like to go to the museum first. Although Guyuan Museum is not large, it has a rich collection that lets you quickly learn about the history of this land.
🗿 Must-see exhibits:
· Gilded silver pot from the Persian Sassanian dynasty, a witness to the Silk Road
· Northern Wei lacquer coffin paintings, exquisitely detailed, reflecting life at that time
· Various Buddhist statues from Northern Wei to Tang dynasty
💡 Visitor information:
· Free admission with ID
· Recommended visit time: 1.5-2 hours
· Free guided tours available, worth listening to

🌾 Jinji Ping Terraces
Earth art on the Loess Plateau, especially healing and green in July
The terraces in Guyuan are different from those in the south. These terraces are on the Loess Plateau, layered from the foot of the mountain all the way to the top, very spectacular.
🌿 Terraces in July:
· Crops have grown, a lush green expanse
· The wind blows, waves of wheat ripple, very soothing
· Morning mist creates a fairyland-like scene
📸 Best photo spots:
· Jinji Ping viewing platform, the widest view
· Drone shots offer a stunning god’s-eye view
· Best light at sunrise and sunset
💡 How to get there:
· About 1 hour drive from Guyuan city center
· Terraces and viewing platform are free
· You can also visit nearby villages along the way

🏘️ Longde Old Alley
The flavor of a northwestern ancient village, a slow-paced vibe
Longde Old Alley is a very characteristic ancient village of northwest China. Earthen walls, wooden doors, red lanterns, and various old items make you feel like you’ve traveled back decades.
🚶 Alley experience:
· The alley is short, about 1 hour to stroll slowly
· Many old courtyards, some converted into guesthouses and cafes
· Walls have many old slogans and paintings, very nostalgic
🎨 Intangible cultural heritage experience:
· Try paper-cutting, Longde paper-cutting is famous
· Also clay sculptures and brick carvings, traditional local crafts
· Buying some small souvenirs is also nice

🌊 Laolongtan
The source of the Jing River, a cool and beautiful natural world
Laolongtan is the source of the Jing River, the "Jing" in the phrase "Jing Wei Fenming" originates here. The scenic area has clear mountains and waters, with babbling streams, very refreshing.
💧 Four pools:
· Laolongtan has four pools, each with its own features
· The innermost pool is the clearest, like a green gem
· Walking along the stream, shaded by trees all the way
🏔️ Nearby hiking:
· There are hiking trails in the scenic area leading into the mountains
· The deeper you go, the fewer people and the more pristine it gets
· Be careful and don’t go too far

🌅 Liupan Mountain Sunrise and Sea of Clouds
A fairyland that’s rare to encounter, seeing it is a gain
The sunrise and sea of clouds at Liupan Mountain is truly one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Clouds slowly rise in the valley, the sun peeks out from the sea of clouds, golden sunlight spills over the clouds, the shock is indescribable, photos can’t capture it.
⏰ Best time:
· Sunrise in summer is around 5 a.m., need to get up early
· Most likely after rain when the sky clears
· Check weather forecast in advance and pick a sunny day
📍 Best viewing spots:
· The summit of Liupan Mountain Red Army Long March Tourist Area
· Migang Mountain, the main peak of Liupan Mountain, with the best view
· Some guesthouses’ terraces also offer views, ask in advance
💡 Notes:
· Very cold in the morning, only about 10-15℃, dress warmly
· Bring a flashlight as it’s still dark when climbing up
· Bring a thermos for hot water to keep warm
