This is a relatively empty part of The Great Wall, and some say that it’s also the most beautiful. I spent hours hiking along this wall, and I saw less than 10 other tourists.

Unexpectedly, there is also an Anaya in Chengde bordering Beijing. The entire town follows a unified wabi-sabi aesthetic style. It takes about 2 hours by car from Beijing to Jinshanling Anaya, making it suitable for a one-day trip or a two-day weekend trip. 1️⃣ What to eat? The surprise of this Anaya is that the town is quite large, and the dining facilities are well developed. Besides many specialty restaurants, there is also a canteen with a nice environment and surprisingly affordable prices. (This part is left for food bloggers to create content.) 2️⃣ What to visit? (Photos 1-6) Next to the town’s central square is a commercial street. The shops allowed in this town have a strong artistic vibe, feeling like an exhibition. Each one is clean, tidy, cozy, and elegant, making it great for taking photos. 3️⃣ What to do? (Photos 12-17) For hardcore outdoor enthusiasts, a great outdoor experience is a key reason I recommend this place. There is a hidden path diagonally opposite the square (2.5 km round trip, 80 m elevation gain) that leads directly to the Jinshanling Great Wall! From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view and take amazing photos! Near Christmas, I also participated in the town’s lighting ceremony, where a Christmas tree light display was set up in the central square. It was very beautiful, but extremely cold! Feels like minus twenty degrees Celsius? Anyway, I quickly got frozen through.

Hello! This weekend, Grandma and I took Mango to Chongli in Anaya. It was our first time in Chongli, and we met up with Mango's good friends Xiaobao and Dudu for a 2-day, 1-night trip. I've put together a travel guide, so follow along and let's go! Transportation: We took the high-speed train, a 1 hour 30 minute journey. We departed from Beijing North Station and arrived back at Qinghe Station. Hotel: We stayed at A.Hotel, which had a great location, making it convenient to go anywhere. The minibar on the table was stocked with delicious snacks and drinks—so thoughtful! The bathroom had Anaya's own brand of toiletries, and they even prepared a toiletries set for children in advance, which was reassuring for families with kids. After settling in, we took the kids to Xiaomaishui (Wheat Ear) downstairs from the hotel for steamed dumplings. They had high chairs and baby tableware, which was great for families with children. After eating, we strolled around the area. The fairytale moon decorations in front of the hotel lobby were so beautiful! The little ones took some photos together. Stepping out of the hotel, beautiful Christmas decorations greeted our eyes. This was a trip we moms had planned with our kids – such wonderful memories! Of course, we had to take pictures to commemorate it! The little ones were playing, and the moms were chatting happily. Activities: 1. Skiing or snow tubing for the kids. Dad wasn't here this time, so I arranged for him to go snow tubing. It was so much fun! The slide was huge and thrilling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt safe taking my 2-year-old Mango on the snow alone; we went on about 10 laps – so much fun! 2. Ice skating rink. We moms pushed our kids around in ice rinks, it was free and a lot of fun. Lots of pretty decorations made it beautiful, perfect for taking pictures. 3. Mountain hot springs. After booking our soak time, it was "Mather time"! Chatting with friends in the hot springs and soaking in the tub was so relaxing; I loved the tranquil feeling, my body felt so relaxed and light. After soaking in the hot water, have a cup of jujube water – super relaxing! 4. Family Center. Moms with kids desperately need some time to unwind. This place is clean, spacious, and has slides, a ball pit, a small kitchen for cooking, and books for children… They can play for half a day, and moms can relax. The children's restrooms and mother-and-baby room are fully equipped with everything – face cream, diaper cream, etc., making things very convenient. Slowing down, both children and moms found their own happiness, taking their time to appreciate the beauty of Chongli.
