The ancient city of Luanzhou is shaped like a horizontal rectangle, like a pencil case; you can enter from either the West Gate or the East Gate (the East Gate has a city tower). It gets busier as you walk from the quiet outskirts to the center. In the middle, there is a 'Marriage Tower' where you can go to the second floor for 10 yuan to pray for a romantic connection. Next to it is a pagoda where everyone takes photos. Tickets to climb to the top are 20 yuan, but there is no elevator, so you have to climb the stairs yourself.
