The Museum of the Lublin Village in Lublin
The Museum of the Lublin Village in Lublin - an open-air museum with monuments of wooden and brick architecture as well as ethnographic collections from the area of the former Lublin Voivodeship.
The museum exhibition has been divided into sectors reflecting the landscape and ethnographic diversity of the Lublin region: the Lublin Upland, Roztocze, Powiśle, Podlasie, Nadbuże, as well as manor and town sectors.
The museum exhibition is not only a material trace of past times, but also the stories of ordinary people inscribed in the reconstructed interiors (which often gain a unique, individual character). When visiting subsequent sectors and objects, one can get the impression that time has stood still, and a visit to the Museum becomes an opportunity for a unique journey and a close - even tangible - encounter with the past.
Apart from the permanent exhibition, the Lublin Village Museum invites you to organize: temporary exhibitions, events referring to the agricultural and ritual year in the countryside, historical reconstructions, educational activities and other cultural events.
