🛍️ Places to visit in Ljubljana, reviews of sweet souvenir shops 🍯
#AdventureMoment
Wandering the alleyways of Ljubljana's Old Town, you'll come across some charming souvenir shops. Among them, a shop specializing in honey products was particularly impressive. 🐝. Slovenia has long been renowned for its honey, thanks to its long history of beekeeping. Here, you can find a variety of products, including natural honey, honey soap, honey tea, and propolis. 🍯🍵. The shop has a warm atmosphere, and the staff even offered samples, allowing me to compare the different honey flavors firsthand. The small jars of honey, in particular, make perfect gifts. 🎁. If you're looking for a unique souvenir from Ljubljana, a honey souvenir shop is a must-visit!
✅ A variety of natural honey & honey teas 🍯
✅ Gift-worthy small packaging 🎁
✅ A heartwarming tasting experience 🐝

🍽️ Ljubljana Korean Pork Review 🇸🇮🇰🇷
#AdventureMoment
I was craving Korean food so much while traveling, so I tried Jeyuk (spicy pork) at a Korean restaurant in Ljubljana! Spicy stir-fried Jeyuk (spicy pork) was served over a bed of fluffy rice, and it tasted almost exactly like the one I used to eat in Korea. I was so impressed 😭🔥. The seasoning was just the right amount of sweet and spicy, a flavor that even locals would enjoy. The side dishes, kimchi and vegetables, made for a satisfying meal. 🥢. The price might seem a bit high by local standards, but it was worth it for the chance to experience a home-cooked meal like Korean cuisine while traveling. If you're craving Korean food in Ljubljana, I highly recommend Jeyuk!
✅ Spicy and sweet Korean Jeyuk 🔥
✅ Served with rice and side dishes, it's filling 🍚
✅ A perfect way to satisfy your Korean cravings while in Slovenia 🥢

Ljubljana Travel Itinerary Review
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a wonderful city to experience the charming European vibe. I explored the city on a one-day itinerary, and the well-organized route made it easy to navigate 🚶♀️. I started my day by visiting Ljubljana Castle, where the panoramic view of the city was truly breathtaking 🏰. Afterward, I headed down to the Old Town, strolling through the Triple Bridge and Prešeren Square, soaking in the romantic atmosphere unique to Europe. For lunch, I enjoyed local cuisine at a riverside café, savoring the relaxed ambiance with a cup of coffee, which perfectly captured the essence of travel ☕. In the afternoon, I visited the Central Market to browse local fruits and souvenirs, offering a closer glimpse into the daily lives of locals. Finally, I ended the day with a leisurely walk along the riverside, deepening my appreciation for Ljubljana's charm 💚.
✅ Itinerary: Castle → Old Town → Market → Riverside walk for a seamless travel experience!
✅ A hidden gem in Europe that showcases small-town charm and tranquility 💎
Summer Romance at Lake Bled
A Saturday night in Bled led to a delightful surprise—a one-day festival near the lake.
Young people were competing on roller skates, while a Malaysian singer filled the stage with reggae rhythms.
The audience danced freely to the music, laughed, and enjoyed their beers. I joined in with a glass of local LASKO beer, admiring their carefree attitude and wishing I could be as relaxed as they were.
The unforgettable moment came at dusk, as the cloudy sky turned into a soft shade of purple. As the night deepened, the stage grew even livelier, and the locals' excitement reached its peak.
📌 Travel Tips
Check the event schedule around the lake during summer weekends.
Opt for a lakeside restaurant for dinner (but make sure to choose wisely).
Bring cash for performances and don’t miss out on enjoying a light beer.
The Romance of Lake Bled from Bled Castle
Just a 1.5-hour drive from Ljubljana, Lake Bled is a picturesque lakeside village often visited by Slovenians for weekend dates and relaxation.
At the heart of this paradise is **Bled Castle**, perched atop a cliff.
From the castle, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, its island, and the distant mountains. One unique experience inside the castle is the 15th-century printing press workshop, where you can choose your own paper, illustrations, and text to print using the Gutenberg method. I created a print with the phrase 'All is well' and brought it home as a decoration.
The walking trail around the lake is also very well-maintained. It takes less than an hour to complete the loop, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll with plenty of photo opportunities. The view of the lake from the opposite side is particularly stunning, and you can also rent a small boat or kayak to reach the island in the middle of the lake.
📌 Travel Tips:
- Plenty of great drone photography spots (note: drones are prohibited inside the castle).
- Morning walks around the lake are the most peaceful and beautiful.
- Staying at least one night is recommended over a day trip.

Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, take the cable car to the castle for a panoramic view.
Slovenia's capital: Ljubljana, with a population of about 300,000 people.
The English name 'Slovenia' is the only country name in the world that contains 'love' 🥹❗❗
The most striking feature is the Baroque-style pink Franciscan Church of the Annunciation, which is considered the landmark of this town.
In addition, there are the Three Bridges (Dragon Bridge, Butcher's Bridge, Triple Bridge).
The dragon is the guardian of Ljubljana, so naturally, there is a Dragon Bridge.
The Dragon Bridge is 33 meters long, with dragon statues at each of the four corners.
Side shots can capture the dragon's wings and tail.
On weekends when there is a market, the sides under the Triple Bridge are open for free.
Found the castle, tickets on-site are 16 euros per person,
You can enjoy the beauty of the bell tower, as well as the church and museum.
Finally, take the cable car to move up layer by layer to enjoy the castle view,
and then layer by layer to get a panoramic view of Slovenia.
Not only can you see the place where you took photos at the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation earlier,
but you can also see various red brick houses and canals, and even small boats traveling on the canals❗ It's worth a shot.
Captured a panoramic view of Slovenia
It turns out that this Eastern European town is so beautiful 🥰🥰
Top favorite castles in Slovenia of my choice
#100waysoftravel #falltrip
Slovenia has plenty of castles in every town, here I shared the top favorite ones of my choice.
1. Castle Kamen (Grad Kamen)
Take Radovljica - Tržič bus line from Ljubljana main bus station, then go for main bus station in Begunje with frequent connections to both Radovljica and Bled. is the nearest public bus stop to Castle Kamen. Free entrance. Above picturesque ruins of a castle of the Counts of Lambergh, great place to explore and place of mysteries. (Not crowded)
2. Brežice Castle
Travel on the national railway company, Slovenske Zeleznice (SZ) to reach Brezice town from Ljubljana main train station to Brezice train station, it is a scenic train ride on the Bohinj railway, which connects the Alpine valleys of Bohinj and the Soča River. Entrance fee is required. One of the castle in town Brezice, which is my favorite. The construction remains since 1600s where original castle was probably constructed by Salzburgians in the 12`th century for administrative and defense purposes. The walls and ceilings are beautifully decorated by the centuries which you will feel touched upon viewing it. (Not crowded)
3. Ljubljana castle
Travel to castle via walking or funicular from Ljubljana town. Suggest take funicular up single way and walk down from castle for different joy and experience of the trip. Castle is situated at hilltop, behind ancient walls, is a rich world of historical and cultural and art. Entrance fee is required for castle. Castle top has amazing city view and best for sunrise and sunset experience.

Day4-5 Slovenia
D4 leaves Austria for Slovenia
The stream in Ventega Canyon is super fast, and the water is so clear that the visibility is about 15 meters.
But the entire hiking route takes about 2-3 hours!
I went to Lake Bled on my dream list. I originally wanted to rent a boat and paddle on my own, but it rained heavily.
Staying at the hotel next to the lake at night was so beautiful
The first stop in the morning on D5 is the Church of Solitude
I made a wish to see snow all the way and my wish came true🤣🤣
The superimposed snow scene is really lonely, and you can’t even see the mountains behind it.
In the afternoon, we went to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, for a walk
(When I talk about place names every day, I feel like I am chanting a spell)
Be a competent tourist in Longqiao
My thoughts are probably that this place is also a hell of a traffic jam 😂
Later, it became even more difficult to park my car and go to the supermarket.
These two days feel like all four seasons of the year have passed by.
If you come to Europe at the end of April, you should definitely bring some winter clothes!

Finding Tranquility at Lake Bohinj
#holidayitinerary Bohinjsko Jezero, or Lake Bohinj, in the Upper Carniola region is a place where nature feels pure and untouched. Surrounded by the Julian Alps, the lake has clear calm waters that reflect the mountains beautifully. It feels more peaceful and less crowded than nearby Lake Bled, which makes it perfect for those who want a quieter escape. You can swim, paddle, or simply sit by the shore and take in the view.
Hiking trails around the lake lead you into forests and meadows, and a ride on the Vogel cable car offers stunning panoramas from above. The atmosphere is laid back, with small villages nearby adding to the charm. Lake Bohinj is the kind of spot where you can slow down, breathe fresh alpine air, and feel completely connected to the natural beauty of Slovenia.

Embracing the Wild Beauty of Triglav National Park
#holidayitinerary Triglav National Park in Slovenia is the kind of place that takes your breath away the moment you arrive. Surrounded by the majestic Julian Alps, the park is filled with crystal clear rivers, peaceful lakes, and rugged mountain peaks that call out to adventurers. Lake Bohinj is a highlight, with its calm waters reflecting the mountains like a mirror, perfect for swimming or just relaxing by the shore. Discovering the Hidden Beauty of Veliki Kozjak Waterfall
#holidayitinerary Visiting Veliki Kozjak Waterfall near Kobarid in Slovenia is like uncovering a secret tucked deep inside nature. The walk to the falls is an adventure on its own, with a scenic trail that follows the emerald green Soča River and passes through lush forest. When you finally reach the waterfall, it feels magical. The water drops into a pool surrounded by high rocky walls, creating a natural chamber that almost looks like a cave.
The sunlight filtering through makes the water glow in shades of green and blue, giving the whole place a fairytale atmosphere. It is not a long hike, but the experience is rewarding and unforgettable. Veliki Kozjak Waterfall is the perfect mix of peaceful nature and striking beauty, a spot that makes you pause and truly appreciate the wonders of Slovenia’s landscape.
Vogel Ski Center: Skiing Above the Clouds in Slovenia
Vogel Ski Center is a ski resort in Bohinj, near Lake Bohinj. Opened in 1964 and located within Triglav National Park, it’s unique because snow-making is completely banned – which means all the snow here is 100% natural.
The resort features 22 km of ski slopes, 8 km of cross-country trails, and a snowboard park. Pretty impressive!
When I reached the Ski Hotel area, the view honestly blew me away. Clear blue skies, snowy peaks, and that crisp mountain air – I couldn’t have asked for better weather. Honestly, so thankful my first ski resort experience was this perfect!
The Ski Hotel zone is mainly for kids learning to ski, so you’ll see lots of little ones training and having fun. There’s also a café and restaurant here. The best part? The terrace overlooks stunning snow-covered mountains, and inside you get sweeping views of Triglav and Lake Bohinj.
Sipping hot coffee with that view? Absolute perfection. The feeling hits different up there.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WALKING TRAIL IN KRANJSKA GORA — YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!
#holidayitinerary
One of the most beautiful walks I’ve ever taken was the peaceful trail from Kranjska Gora to Lake Jasna. The path winds gently through alpine scenery, with fresh mountain air, tall pine trees, and the distant sound of rushing water.
With every step, the view becomes more magical — snow-capped peaks in the distance, wildflowers lining the trail, and the soothing calm of nature all around. And then, as you approach the lake, it appears like a dream: crystal-clear water reflecting the Julian Alps, surrounded by wooden piers and tranquil silence.
It’s not just a walk — it’s a moment of stillness, beauty, and connection with nature. A must-do if you’re ever in Kranjska Gora. 🥾🏞️💙
