The moment I stepped out of the train station, I was surrounded by towering cliffs, wooden Swiss chalets, green meadows, and waterfalls cascading from hundreds of metres above. It felt like walking into a real-life fairytale. Nestled in one of Switzerland's most beautiful valleys, Lauterbrunnen is often called the "Valley of 72 Waterfalls." The town of Mürren is seriously super chill! 🇨🇭 It's a car-free village at an altitude of around 1,650 meters 🏡, and a major gateway to the Schilthorn ⛰️. The entire village only has about 450 residents 👥. With absolutely no noisy traffic 🚗❌, you're left with a wonderfully slow-paced, laid-back lifestyle and an authentic mountain vibe 🪵. Traditional wooden chalets are built into the hillside 🏚️, their windowsills bursting with colorful flowers 🌸. Looking into the distance, you're met with the awe-inspiring peaks of the Alps 🏔️. Strolling down the streets 🚶♂️, it truly feels like you've stepped right into a fairytale town ✨. Personally 👀, compared to other popular attractions full of tourists 👥, Mürren isn't overcrowded 🍃. Instead, it perfectly matches exactly what you want if you're looking to quietly soak in the purest Swiss mountain village scenery 🏞️. Later, we walked through the town to another cable car station 👣 and took a roughly 4-minute cable car ride up to the Allmendhubel Flower Valley 🚡. In the blink of an eye, the landscape switched from a tranquil mountain village to a vast alpine meadow 🌲. Summer is truly the peak season here ☀️. A random yet spectacular array of alpine wildflowers bursts into bloom everywhere 🌻, looking like a masterpiece painted by Mother Nature herself 🎨. The visual impact is doubly stunning 🤩! For the way back, we decided to skip the cable car ❌ and chose a hiking trail to slowly make our way down the mountain 🥾. That day, we bumped into maybe 5 or 6 other tourists on the trail in total 🚶♀️, giving it an incredible sense of privacy 🍃. We traversed the expansive meadows and flower valleys 🌿, stepping on the green grass 👣. The melodious sound of cowbells drifted to our ears 🔔, mingling with the rustle of the micro breeze blowing through the flora 💨. The healing vibes of the whole valley were maxed out 🧘♂️, completely washing away all everyday work stress 💻❌. Looking up, there were the spectacular snow mountains 🏔️, and looking down, a sea of flowers swaying in the breeze 🌷. It's simply the perfect check-in spot 📸. Every step was so therapeutic 🥰, making me subconsciously slow my pace 🕒. My overall rating is: a perfect 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The Allmendhubel Flower Valley might not be as signature as the Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn 🗺️, but it's absolutely a summer-limited hidden gem 💎. A small waterfall town with stunning cascades. Mürren 🌟🌟🌟 30-minute cable car + cogwheel train from Lauterbrunnen. Even with mighty, moody weather rolling through, the experience was unforgettable. We arrived via the scenic cable car from Lauterbrunnen, and as we ascended, the clouds thickened, casting an ethereal mist over the valley. Rain swept through at times, but it only added to the drama—clouds drifting across the towering Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau made every view feel like a painting in motion. Lauterbrunnen railway station, located in the heart of the village, is a junction for the Bernese Oberland Railway to Interlaken and the Wengernalp Railway to Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg, and Grindelwald. At Kleine Scheidegg, passengers can transfer to the Jungfrau Railway that crosses the Eiger to the Jungfrau. Next to the main station, the lower terminal of the Bergbahn Lauterbrunnen-Mürren, passengers can take a cable car or train directly to Mürren. In Lauterbrunnen town, apart from the main station, there are nine small stations on the WAB line such as Wengwald, Wengen, Allmend, Wengernalp, and Kleine Scheidegg, the Eigergletscher station on the JB line, and the Grütschalp, Winteregg, and Mürren stations on the LSMS line. After paying the visitor's tax, guests can receive the Lauterbrunnen guest card, which offers discounts at the local swimming pool, mini-golf course, and Trümmelbach Falls.

Stechelberg is part of the Lauterbrunnen valley, the entrance to the upper valley. Then we took a walk beside Parking Stechelberg to enjoy the nature, river and waterfall. There’s a place for you to barbecue too if you wanted to do so. We had a pleasant walk around that area before we take the cable car to Gimmelwald. You also can take the cable car to Murren. I want to travel to Hong Kong to explore a different culture, nature, and food.
