Lunch at Wayfarer Cafe in Nelson Airport
"I stopped by to kill time before my flight, and had a wonderful time!
First of all, the location is great, with the runway visible from the large windows. Watching the planes take off and land while sipping coffee really gets you in the mood for your trip.
And the coffee was even better than I expected! They use local beans, so I was pleased with the authentic flavor. The freshly baked bread I ordered with it also had a homemade feel, was fresh, and delicious. There was a wide variety, so it was fun to choose.
They open early in the morning, so I'm really grateful that I can get a hot coffee and a snack even on an early flight. The atmosphere is great for an airport cafe, and I think it's a valuable oasis where you can relax before departure!"

[📍New Zealand] Enjoy mussels at a hidden gem🦪
It's a two-hour drive from Nelson on the South Island. 🚗
This restaurant lies in the middle of nowhere, so you'll be surprised it even exists. They're famous for their mussels, so I ordered mussel clam chowder and carrot cake. The clam chowder had an unusual tomato base and was packed with shellfish and vegetables. The accompanying garlic toast was homemade and delicious! ✨
The carrot cake I had after the meal was moist and topped with yogurt. 🥕 It was also incredibly delicious!
It was November, but it was a very cold day, so the fireplace was roaring, creating a great atmosphere. 🔥There were many reservations for groups and people playing cards, and it was bustling with locals.
The homey atmosphere made it a great place to stay.
If you're visiting the South Island, be sure to visit!

🥜 Peanut Butter World, Nelson, New Zealand
🥜 Pic's Peanut Butter World Visit Review
I visited Pic's Peanut Butter World in Nelson, New Zealand!
It's a must-visit for peanut butter lovers.
The fragrant aroma of peanuts filled the air as soon as I arrived, creating a perfect atmosphere even before I entered.
I took a free guided tour, and seeing the entire process of peanut butter production was much more interesting than I expected. The staff were incredibly friendly and humorous, making the tour enjoyable throughout.
The best part was the tasting!
You can try a variety of flavors, from original to crunchy and chocolate peanut butter. The crunchy version was especially delicious, with its perfect nutty and crunchy texture. I immediately grabbed one for my shopping bag.
The locally made, fresh flavors made it even richer and more refreshing.
There's also a cafe and gift shop, making it a great place to leisurely browse and pick up small gifts. It's the perfect stop during your Nelson trip!
✔️ Recommended Points
• Free tour + tasting

【📍🇳🇿Nelson's Stylish Hidden Cafe☕️】
📍Kiln Studio
A stylish, open space with a pottery studio on the second floor and a cafe/roaster on the first floor. 🌿
The cafe isn't listed on Google Maps, so it feels like a hidden gem. The dappled sunlight and plants create a lovely atmosphere that makes you want to stay. They also serve coffee and cookies.

📍Brick Eatery
This restaurant was recommended to me during my trip to Nelson, so I visited it. 🍽️Everything was delicious, but I especially recommend the chicken liver and ricotta gnocchi! ✨🤤
The final dessert was a strange treat I'd never tried before: meringue with berry ice cream inside and a sponge cake underneath! 🍓
I made a reservation, but it wasn't crowded, so I think you could even walk in.
I highly recommend the terrace seating! 🌞
If you're ever in Nelson, be sure to check it out. 💕

Founders Heritage Park in New Zealand
Located about a 30-minute walk from the city center, the pleasant weather made the journey enjoyable. The park features well-preserved old buildings and vehicles. Riding the operational train was a highlight. This small park recreates the old town of Nelson.
The receptionist was very kind and provided detailed explanations about the map and facilities. Inside the park, there are shops and restaurants, and some visitors were walking their dogs. The charming buildings, cars, and even a real airplane make this park highly recommended for learning about the history of Nelson.

New Zealand Tourism 🤍Centre of New Zealand Monument
#0YenJourneyToNewZealand
In the heart of New Zealand. This monument sits atop Nelson Hill. It's about a 30-minute climb from the parking lot. It's a moderate climb, but I recommend it for those with the time and energy. From the top of the hill, you can get a panoramic view of Nelson city.
It's actually known as the "navel of New Zealand." You can get a panoramic view of Nelson city and the ocean, and looking back, the vast mountains are beautiful. It's not a particularly steep hill, and it takes less than 20 minutes to reach the summit, so many people choose to hike up as part of their walk.

New Zealand Airport🤍Nelson Airport
#0YenJourneyToNewZealand
I boarded a small propeller plane from this cute airport and it took just under two hours to get to Christchurch. I was a bit nervous, but it was more stable than I expected. On a 100-seater jet, carry-on luggage is allowed, but there was no storage space, so I checked it in and was charged an excess fee. It's a country where airfares are cheap but options cost money. The close proximity and ease of using airplanes makes it more convenient for travel than Japan.
Please give it a try!

You can enter even on a normal day.
There aren't many buildings like this in Nelson, so I recommend visiting it at least once if you're sightseeing.
It's incredibly mystical and will make a wonderful memory.
I'm not a believer, but I went to Sunday morning mass just to experience it. The solemn yet warm atmosphere was wonderful.
It's definitely worth a visit, so please do!

A Charming Step Back in Time with Creative Local Spirit
#explorenewzealand Founders Heritage Park in New Zealand feels like walking into a small historic village frozen in a relaxed and cheerful moment. The old buildings are full of character and each one tells a different story. I enjoyed wandering through the streets and exploring the little shops that sell handmade crafts and local products. There is a small railway, antique displays, and sometimes events that bring music and food into the park. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. You can take your time, look around, and discover unexpected details in every corner. I liked stopping at the cafe for a drink and sitting outside to enjoy the scenery. It is the kind of place where history feels alive in a pleasant and fun way. Founders Heritage Park is perfect for a gentle and enjoyable day out.

Sunny Shoreline and Endless Relaxed Beach Moments
#explorenewzealand Tahunanui Beach in New Zealand is a great place to enjoy sunshine, soft sand, and a relaxing ocean view. The beach is wide and open which makes it perfect for long walks or simply sitting down to enjoy the sound of the waves. I loved how easy it was to find a quiet spot even when there were other people around. The water is shallow near the shore, making it safe and enjoyable for families or anyone wanting to cool off without going too deep. The gentle sea breeze and warm sun create the perfect mood for unwinding. Parks and cafes are nearby, so you can easily grab a drink or snack after spending time on the sand. 📍South Island, New Zealand. Nelson Tahinanui Beach|A must-visit recommended by locals
If you don't want to go to the well-known popular attractions during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday
Recommended Tahunanui Beach in South Island, New Zealand
In the Nelson Sun
Sunbathe yourself like an empty dumpling, even the troubles evaporate just right
The beach here is as wide as a piece of white paper
The sea water caresses the shore layer by layer, like a child gently tracing with his fingers.
You can walk barefoot along the sea to the horizon
You can also rent a skateboard and fly in the sea breeze.
Even better, there are coffee shops and ice cream stands nearby.
Sit down and order a flat white
In front of me are children chasing waves, dogs running, and people flying kites.
The whole picture is like a summer ballad
Why is it recommended to come here during the long holidays?
Because the South Island has entered early winter during this period, the sun is still warm but not too hot.
With fewer people and a slower pace, you will find:
A true vacation is not about how far you walk, but about finding a beach where you can breathe quietly.
⸻———Sharing of travel information————

📍South Island, New Zealand. Unpopular local attraction for relaxation|Nelson, Boulder Bank
Where to go during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday?
I recommend Boulder Bank in South Island, New Zealand.
This stone necklace seems to be left by the gods
13km winding route along Tasman Bay
Like a natural breakwater, also like a slow travel practice
Walking on the pebbled embankment, every step is like stepping into time
The stones under my feet seem to tell how the sea breeze has carved the land over the past century.
There is no crowd here, no noise or lights, only the waves and footsteps.
Long holidays are especially suitable for such "walking and thinking" travel
Like the traditional festival scene
It's like giving your body and mind a chance to dry and reorganize.
⸻———Sharing of travel information——————
▪️Location: Boulder Bank Scenic Reserve, near the coast of Nelson, South Island
▪️Features: A long embankment of giant stones formed by natural ocean currents, with a walk to the century-old lighthouse
▪️Transportation: Drive 10-15 minutes from downtown Nelson to the starting point, or join a local guided boat or hiking group
▪️Recommended time to visit: Late fall and early winter (May-June) with magnificent scenery and pleasant temperatures, suitable for hiking and photography
