Spent the morning exploring the coast of Nerja by kayak. We joined a guided tour from Burriana Beach and it was so worth it. We paddled past sea caves, hidden coves, and the stunning Maro waterfall, where fresh water spills right into the sea. The water was super blue and crystal clear; you could see fish darting below the kayak 🐠💦. After a quick swim and some beach time, we wandered into town and found Nybakat, a cozy Scandinavian café with unreal pastries and, in my opinion, the best coffee in Nerja ☕🥐. 📅 Itinerary Day1:Córdoba city - visit the mosque/cathedral, the gardens of the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Viana's Castle, the Synagogue and most importantly, you can not miss getting lost in the Juderia's neighbourhood where you'll find endless beautiful corners and narrow streets. Day2: Caminito del rey, a wonderful walk- there are organized trips or you can go by train from Maria Zambrano's station (around 56 minutes) or you might want to rent a car and it would take 50 minutes. The views and the experience there is breath taken and definitely an experience that everyone who travels to Málaga deserves having. Day3: Last but not least Nerja- Take an Alsa bus from Málaga to Nerja where you can enjoy visiting one of the most beautiful coast towns in Costa del sol. The environment is purely traditional Andalusian life style and apart from enjoying a beautiful beach visit, you must eat in the famous restaurant "El pulguilla" a traditional always busy restaurant serving fresh fish and other Spanish food from Tuesday to Sunday. 📌 Tips - 1. take the one hour fast train to Córdoba. 2. Take the shuttle bus from El Chorro station to the starting point of the walk it costs 2.50 € and it is recommended to bring cash.

Playa de Maro (Nerja, Spain): Chill out at this photogenic cove—think kayaks, soft sand, and crystal-clear water. Go early (before 10am) to snag a spot and avoid crowds. 2. Medieval Wall of Alcúdia (Camí de Ronda, 35, 07400 Alcúdia, Illes Balears, Spain): Stroll the old ramparts for epic town views. It’s open all day, year-round—so sunset here is pure magic. My Pro Tip: Ride a bike from Playa de Maro up toward Alcúdia’s wall. The route is scenic but get ready for some hills—bring water, and layer up, especially in spring/fall when mornings are brisk. For max comfort, rent a lightweight e-bike and try to start after breakfast; cafés near Playa de Maro do legit fresh croissants. Getting Around: Bike rentals are easy near Nerja (ask local shops or book through trip.com!). For Raiguer, public buses run to Alcúdia town, then it’s a short walk to the wall. Standing on the "European Balcony" in this white town surrounded by the sea on three sides, you can gaze out over the Mediterranean. Although it doesn't have the developed film industry or diverse shooting locations like Almería, which serves as a base for many international blockbusters, Nerja remains an important place in Spanish popular film and television culture, especially in TV dramas and Mediterranean-themed works. This town holds the memories of several generations in Spain, as the 1981 TV series "Verano Azul" (Blue Summer), which tells the story of young people vacationing by the sea, made Nerja famous. Many beaches, old town streets, and areas near the European Balcony featured in the show are deeply ingrained in the hearts of Spaniards. This nationally beloved Spanish series is comparable in popularity to China's "Princess Pearl," the U.S.'s "Friends," or Japan's "Long Vacation." After wandering around the town for half an hour, visiting a few beaches and strolling down a street, the atmosphere was peaceful and leisurely. In a rush before leaving, I took a quick look inside the town's most famous church, then headed to the park parking lot, where I discovered the boat of the old fisherman Chanquete, a must-photograph icon for Spaniards visiting here. The natural scenery and geographical conditions here are excellent. Most visitors come to check in for the youthful memories evoked by the TV series, while others, like me, follow the filming locations to travel with the light and shadow. Walking and pausing here brings a truly calm and peaceful mood. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to dip my feet in the water at the beach before continuing on to Málaga, Spain's fifth-largest city.

While staying in Spain, I had some free time, so I took a bus to Nerja for a two-night stay. It was a much better city than I had imagined; the sea truly felt like a European beach, and it was a place where I felt incredibly relaxed just lying on the beach watching people play volleyball and swim! Qingming real test! Is Zunyi Wujiangzhai worth visiting? Here’s a complete guide for eating, staying, playing, and photography—keep it handy During the Qingming short holiday, I went to Zunyi Wujiangzhai with friends. Honestly, I was a bit worried before setting off—this kind of place sounds like a purely commercial tourist spot, would it feel too "fake"? But after the visit, it actually turned out great. Here’s a fresh, firsthand guide to help those interested. 🚗 How to get there? We took the high-speed train from Chongqing to Zunyi Station. Right outside the station, there’s a shuttle bus directly to the scenic area, a small 12-seater van, about a 1-hour ride, very convenient. For those driving, just navigate to “Wujiangzhai Visitor Center.” Note: private cars are not allowed inside the scenic area; all must park in the outside parking lot. 🏨 Where to stay? Highly recommend staying in hotels inside the scenic area for convenience and value. We booked the Mushan Hotel, a queen room for one night on April 4th during Qingming cost 741 RMB (normally 647 RMB). The price seems high but includes: · Breakfast for two · Two scenic area tickets (120 RMB per person if bought separately) · Unlimited shuttle rides inside the scenic area · Free entry and exit from the scenic area The value is really good, and staying inside is much more convenient. If your budget allows, I recommend Miao Wangzhai Hotel or Qian Academy Hotel, which are closer to the core scenic spots, so you don’t have to walk far to see the evening performances. 🌄 How to enjoy it fully? The scenic area isn’t very large, but there are many stone paths and frequent uphill and downhill sections, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Best plan: enter the scenic area in the afternoon. This way, you can experience both the daytime and nighttime scenery—Wujiangzhai is fresh and rustic by day, and when the lights come on at night, it’s a completely different atmosphere. There are rowboats available (60 RMB per person during the day, 80 RMB at night), and craft experiences like paper making. There are also scheduled performances: light shows, iron flower throwing, drone formations, bamboo pole water walking, parade performances... The program is quite rich, and you’ll encounter one every few steps, so it’s never boring. ⚠️ Warning: Food inside the scenic area is expensive and not tasty, so don’t waste money. It’s better to eat at the commercial street outside the visitor center, where there are more choices and reasonable prices. 📸 How to book photography? For those wanting beautiful photos, it’s best to arrange makeup and styling on the commercial street outside the scenic area in advance, and book a photographer at the same time. Compare several places as prices vary. We booked for 199 RMB per person, including makeup + photos, with 20 raw photos and 6 retouched ones. But since we didn’t book ahead, our shoot was after 8 PM. However, the makeup was very carefully done, taking over an hour with attention to detail, unlike some rushed jobs I’ve had before. Plus, you can choose any outfit; another place I checked charged 299 RMB and only allowed Miao ethnic costumes. This was a good deal. 💡 Final summary Wujiangzhai is indeed a purely commercial tourist spot, but commercial doesn’t mean it’s not fun. It’s perfect for those who don’t want to worry and like one-stop convenience, and also great for family trips—facilities are complete, activities are rich, and you don’t have to run around. If I come again, I’d choose March when the rapeseed flowers bloom, with golden fields all over the hills combined with the stilted buildings of the village—it should be even more photogenic~ A small reminder: during holidays, remember to book hotels and photography sessions in advance, so you don’t end up shooting until dark like we did 😅

This is Balcón de Europa. Literally meaning "Balcony of Europe," this observation deck offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Costa del Sol coastline, and is a signature landmark of Nerja!🏘 As soon as I entered the plaza, the boundless panorama of the Mediterranean Sea filled my vision. As I approached the railing, the azure sea stretched out before me, stretching to the horizon. The water's color changed constantly, from pale emerald to deep cobalt blue, as the sunlight bathed it. The sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs below echoed softly from the balcony. Small beaches line both sides of the observation deck. To the left, the cozy Playa Calahonda Beach, and to the right, the breathtaking coastline stretches all the way to Burjana Beach.
