This hike down is a 45-minute incredibly steep path. Diamond Beach, is also famous for its incredible natural scenery with clean white sands, transparent turquoise waters, and high cliffs. The key feature here would be the rock shaped like a diamond in the shallow waters. After all, I think this diamond-like rock is what gives the beach its name. Join a one-day tour and first go to Dinosaur Bay on Beni Island to see the wonders of nature. The hills look like little dinosaurs lying down and sleeping, and the azure blue waters wash over the small beach, making you feel relaxed and at ease. Going down the stairs is a small beach, but the tour guide suggested that we not go down because of the high tide. It's so beautiful!!! It's about a 40-minute drive from the accommodation. Park your car outside and walk in. But the path is very tough. The stairs are steep and difficult to walk. ☀️ Day 2, meet the driver at 5 am 😂 because we wanted to take pictures without people. The accommodation served us food at that time. 📍Diamond Beach 🏝️ is very beautiful. There are stairs down to take beautiful pictures. Below is a white beach, but the waves are very strong. It was almost out of breath when we got to the bottom. 😂 And we had to climb down on the rocks. It's so tough. The beauty comes with toughness. 🔥 A must-do activity is to ride the swing. The price is ~ 100,000 rupiah per person. If you want to know how much, take 100,000 * 0.0013 = Thai baht. It's very scary. The rice below is a cliff and deep sea water. 📍Keling King Beach is called the Dinosaur Viewpoint. There are two places to take pictures: the way down to the bottom and the viewpoint where we took pictures. But going down is so far that we can't do it 😂 because we woke up early and were exhausted. 📍Yuda homestay 🏠 It's a home-like accommodation. The guide who took us on the tour is the owner. So she included the price with the car rental fee to take us around. ☀️ We went back to the boat at the pier around noon. ⚠️ Driving on the island is not recommended. Most of the roads are cliffs. Going up and down the hills is very scary. At first, we didn't plan to hire a driver but we really couldn't handle the road. 🥺 🍲 We didn't review the food because nothing was to our liking. Normally, we eat very easily, but the food was really not delicious. We mostly ordered fried rice. Oh my, it was so sad. We tried eating local food and they used their hands to pick it up. We wanted to cry. 😂 ‼️ The guide took very good care of us. For 2 nights and 3 days, they really took care of us. The price was very cheap, but they still took good care of us. They took pictures for us, arranged poses for photos, carried our stuff, and found us a place to stay. We will definitely go back again. Wake up at 5:30am and go on a one-day tour to the west side of Nusa Penida. After a whole day of rushing around, being exposed to the sun, clocking in and taking photos on the assembly line, I really feel that such beautiful scenery should be enjoyed slowly while drinking coffee/afternoon tea/sunbathing/eating/soaking in a hotel, instead of only being able to see each attraction for one or two seconds and the tour guide asking "are you done?" right after taking the photo. Then most of the time during the whole trip is spent on a motorcycle/boat/minivan. The scenery is indeed beautiful, but I still cancelled all the similar day trips afterwards. If you have time and conditions, it is recommended to stay on the island for one or two days and play slowly.

The scenery of Penida Island is really beautiful! But the journey was too bumpy... It took more than an hour to get from the hotel to Sanur Pier, wait for the boat, and then go to the island to visit the attractions. A lot of time was spent rushing. It would be much better if you could stay on the island when visiting Penida Island!

Here's a quick guide on getting to Nusa Penida from Bali: Transport: The only way to Nusa Penida is by fastboat. The journey will take 45 minutes each way, and boats depart from Sanur Harbour. There are various companies/timings, but a majority depart at 0730/0830 and return at 1530/1630. Ticket Info & Cost: IDR150.000 per person/one way. The price will vary if you book a tour package. Most travellers either book tickets through their drivers, or show up at the harbour and buy directly at the counters. Tourist fee is IDR25.000 adults and IDR15.000 children. Experience: Sanur Harbour was opened this year, so it's comfortable. The fastboat ride was fine. However, arriving at Nusa Penida will require you to walk through sand/water up the beach. The island is rustic and underdeveloped, so the rides are bumpy, narrow and a bit dangerous. But, the sites and views were worth everything. Look at the pictures! You MUST see them in person. Let me introduce to you a super niche secret spot on Nusa Penida Island. Not many posts mention it and there is no clear landmark. This section of the road is famous for its rugged terrain, close proximity to steep cliffs and rugged road conditions. Near the secret location on the western route, popular coastal sections include Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, and Angel's Billabong. The secret location is near the Elf Cliff, which can be reached via the western route, but the road conditions are not very good, so you need to allow more time. When you tell the chartered car driver about planning the administrative route, you can express your desire to take photos of the cliff road here. After arriving at this secret spot, only the driver came with us, no one else came! Very good shot! ⚠️Notes: If you plan to drive or cycle, it is recommended to confirm the road conditions in advance and refer to the local chartered car service or tour guide's advice to ensure a safe trip.
