Legend has it that this snow mountain was once a witch, but she was subdued by Master Padmasambhava on his way from Ali to Lhasa and became the 12th guardian deity of Tibet - the Goddess of Wisdom. The mountain is covered in snow all year round and is over 7,000 meters above sea level, while the Blue Ice Lake is 5,100 meters above sea level.
