Ordu’s whispering sea breeze: an intimate encounter with the Black Sea
#2024TravelReview
Ordu, before my journey began, was just a mark on the map, a city on the Black Sea coast of Türkiye. However, after experiencing it myself, Ordu has become a vivid picture in my mind, a moving melody about sea breeze, mountains and human feelings.
The moment I arrived in Ordu, I was attracted by its unique temperament. This place is not as prosperous and noisy as Istanbul, nor as magical as Cappadocia. It has a quiet and comfortable charm, a unique charm that is closely connected with the Black Sea. I stayed in a hotel by the sea. When I opened the window, I could feel the sea breeze gently brushing my face and hear the sound of waves hitting the shore. This feeling made me instantly relieve all my fatigue.
The next day, I set out to explore this city embraced by the Black Sea. The streets of Ordu are clean and tidy, with a unique architectural style, full of the characteristics of the Black Sea region. I strolled through the alleys of the city, feeling the slow pace of the city. The local residents are friendly and enthusiastic. Even though we don’t speak the same language, they still express their welcome with warm smiles and body language, which makes me feel the strong human touch. Children playing in the streets add a bit of vitality to the city.
In the city center, I found a small restaurant recommended by a local and tasted authentic Black Sea cuisine. The fresh seafood, local cornbread, and various dishes cooked with Black Sea specialties were delicious and satisfied my appetite. The owner of the restaurant is a passionate lady who not only introduced the characteristics of each dish to me, but also taught me how to cook with local spices, making me feel the warmth of home.
In the morning, I decided to go to the famous Ünye Beach. The scenery along the way is breathtaking, with rolling mountains tightly hugging the winding coastline, and the azure Black Sea sparkling in the sun. Ünye Beach has fine sand and clear water. I strolled on the beach, feeling the gentle breeze and listening to the sound of waves hitting the shore. My body and mind were completely relaxed. I also tried swimming in the Black Sea. Although the water temperature was a little low, the cool feeling was unforgettable.
In the afternoon, I rented a bike and rode along the coastline. The scenery along the way keeps changing, sometimes it is dense forest, sometimes it is steep cliff, and sometimes it is a quiet fishing village. Along the way, I admired the magnificent scenery of the Black Sea coast and felt the wonders of nature. On a scenic hillside, I stopped to rest and looked out over the entire Ordu, as well as the rolling mountains and the azure Black Sea in the distance. The scenery was so magnificent that it was breathtaking.
In the evening, I came to a quiet fishing village and admired the sunset. The golden sunlight sprinkled on the sea. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. I sat on the dock, watching the busy figures of the fishermen and feeling the tranquility and peace of the fishing village. I also tasted the freshly caught fish, which was delicious.
I strolled through the streets of Ordu at night, taking in the tranquility and peace of the city. Ordu at night is brightly lit, but without the hustle and bustle of the city, making people feel particularly comfortable. I sat in a cafe, sipping Turkish coffee, looking at the starry sky, feeling the tranquility and comfort.
On my last day in Ordu, I went to the local market and experienced the life of the locals. The market is bustling with people, filled with a wide variety of goods, and filled with a strong sense of life. I interacted with the locals and felt their warmth and friendliness. I bought some local specialties such as honey, tea and handicrafts as souvenirs of my trip.
When I left Ordu, I was deeply moved. This city embraced by the Black Sea brings me not only beautiful scenery, but also the simple folk customs and unique culture of the local people. The tranquility and peace of Ordu, the beautiful natural scenery, and the warm and hospitable people will become unforgettable memories for me. Ordu, a place that far exceeded my expectations and a place worth visiting again. This trip was not only a sightseeing trip, but also a spiritual baptism. It allowed me to feel the charm of the Black Sea and the tranquility of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The whisper of the sea breeze in Ordu will remain in my heart forever.
