While wandering around with nothing to do, I discovered a hidden gem tucked away in Sydney's busy downtown—Paddington Reservoir Gardens. Stepping inside feels like stumbling upon a space where ancient Roman ruins meet modern landscaping. Sunlight filters through the steel-framed ceiling, casting dappled light between stone columns and greenery. The weathered walls tell stories of history, while walkways and viewing platforms allow visitors to wander freely, as if existing outside of time. This sunken garden was once a 19th-century reservoir, now transformed into an open garden that still preserves the skeleton and beauty of its industrial heritage. Sitting quietly on a bench, watching vines wrap around old bricks while gazing up at the sky from below, with cool breezes caressing your face, is incredibly therapeutic. There's no noisy chatter here—just a peaceful green oasis in the middle of the busy city. If you appreciate photography, architecture, or quiet beauty, this place is worth making a special trip to spend half a day in peaceful contemplation.

Sydney is an absolute best, especially for new travellers who never there before! The beaches are magical and superbly astonishing when accompanied with the big winds and chilly weather. Despite I went in mid March, it was still so refreshing and cool and I could enjoy the beaches with no frills. I love the sun but dislike the temperature, and Sydney is the ideal place for people like me. The food is good, a lot of local Australian produce which is sensational. I would highly recommend!

Fred's is one of my favourite places to eat and drink. From the moment you enter this restaurant, you know you’re in for a treat. I loved the atmosphere, the rustic feel, the service and the food. It’s 100 percent farm to table, everything was so fresh and delicious. The open kitchen, the rustic ambience and attentive service. I used to always recommend their lamb and bread, however this time tried their steak and a few other canape and entree dishes. The cavier and pancakes and king fish ceviche were well balanced. The dishes are original, inspired and very well executed. The wine list is fantastic. The ambience is warm and relaxed, with excellent service. #australiatrip #sydney #deliciousfood

Some parishioners visit the local church on long trips, understand the local language or will attend the mass and exchange with local parishioners for alternative tourism activities. Whether Catholic or Christian, it would be nice to visit Paddington near Sydney. Don't look at the small size of Paddington town, there are already several churches. The most beautiful is St. Francis, although not big but inside is pink, and many stained glass windows. Paddington Uniting Church is where the Paddington Weekend Market is located at the top of Daming. Also St Matthias Anglican itself is a branch of the Church of England.

~ Paddington Reservoir Gardens 💐 ————————————————— Paddington Reservoir Gardens Paddington Reservoir Gardens is located on Oxford Street and is a 150-year-old building converted from a reservoir to the gardens you see today🌸 We can see that the architecture of today’s gardens retains the stone arch design, in addition to small gazebos, pools and meadows. Because the characteristics of the garden attracted many citizens/tourists to take pictures, and many people would bring their pets for a walk, we also saw a couple taking wedding photos 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️ It's a pity that we can't enter the reservoir to take pictures, I don't know if we have to book a group or not allowed to enter, but we can see from the outside that there are many pillars inside😂 Transportation is actually quite convenient, you can take the bus and walk for about 1-2 minutes. Also, if you want to walk from the CBD is only 30-40 minutes away, we would recommend arriving from the Museum station and walking on Oxford Street. 🏙️Oxford Street has many small shops while walking, and Oxford Street is characterized by many and sex-friendly shops, as well as sex toy shops. We have gone to a sex toy shop, it can be so big, we opened our eyes🙈 There will be a barracks on the way afterwards, however because it is surrounded, we can't see it.
