Palma Hotel
I stayed at Weixiyuan Hotel on October 1st, and here is a simple review.
In summary: The service is very good, and the response to customer feedback is very fast; the infrastructure is up to standard, but I don't know why the newly opened hotel always feels a bit old; the Huizhou-style buildings are beautiful; but the hotel has few activities and facilities, and it is in the mountains, so it is suitable for lying down and resting.
Check-in experience: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Before check-in, a butler asked about my preferences. When entering the hotel, the car needs to be parked in the parking lot at the foot of the mountain, and then a shuttle bus will take you to the hotel (about 5 minutes). The driver said that all the mountains and rivers here belong to the hotel, and most of the hotel area is under construction (we passed some houses that were confirmed to be demolished on the way), and the hotel has only opened one river and one mountain, and there are plans for the future.
The check-in process was very fast, and the butler enthusiastically introduced the hotel's facilities and activities for October 1st. The barbecue and bonfire at night were very atmospheric (Picture 15).
Room facilities: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 and a half
This time I stayed in a waterfront deluxe king room, 60 square meters (✅ Here is a tip, if you book a room, call the hotel front desk directly, there will be a surprise). The room is very spacious (Picture 5), with a great view (Picture 6), and the toiletries are from Palma. The ceiling is very high, the bedding is comfortable, and I slept very well. Half a point is deducted because the toilet is not smart, and the tea area in the room is a bit small.
Dining: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Breakfast is perfect, very delicate, all in small plates (Picture 10), the burgers, sausages, lobster, and desserts are very good, but the steak is a bit old.
For dinner, I ordered the oil-splashed stinky mandarin fish without hesitation (Picture 11), and the rice wine made by the hotel was good.
Public facilities and activities: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The hotel has a cafe and bookstore (Picture 7), a small art exhibition (Picture 8), a gym and swimming pool (Picture 9), a spa, and a small hill. There is an unopened farm on the other side. There are many activities on October 1st, such as printing, moxibustion experience, pizza baking, bonfire party, etc. (Pictures 12-15). But overall, because many outdoor places are still under construction, time-consuming activities, such as picking and climbing, are not very complete, so it feels a bit boring. I guess this is also the reason why the hotel gives away tickets to Qiyun Mountain and rafting experience.
