Don't miss this prayer guide for Mount Jiuhua
I think I saw a Buddha's light, it's a live photo, not edited, everyone take a look 👀
It should be the peak season for Mount Jiuhua now. We drove up the mountain at around 5:00 in the morning ⛰️. Walking down from the top is quite convenient❗️When we arrived at Huacheng Temple around 10:00, the private cars queuing were already stuck halfway up the mountain, and the weather was particularly hot❗️
Let me share my route with everyone:
1️⃣ Stop: Xiaotiantai Longtou Temple - Praying for Blessings
This temple is where Ksitigarbha practiced, and it is said that the deities here are very responsive. The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, symbolizing the Three Saints, is enshrined here.
2️⃣ Stop: Flesh Body Hall - Praying for Blessings
This hall preserves the flesh body of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. It is said that Prince Jin Qiaojue of the Tang Dynasty passed away here, leaving behind the flesh body Buddha.
3️⃣ Stop: Huacheng Temple - Praying for Health and Longevity
This temple enshrines three Buddhas: Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha, exuding a peaceful atmosphere.
4️⃣ Stop: Mingong Hall - Praying for Wealth
Mingong Hall is currently closed for reconstruction, and the reopening time is uncertain. However, you can still go in to offer incense; you can't enter inside, but you can offer incense outside.
5️⃣ Stop: 99-meter-high Bronze Statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva
You must take the scenic area bus. It's too hot to walk, and although the distance isn't far, the heat can easily cause heatstroke. Drinks under the Buddha statue are sold for 5 yuan a bottle, while at the transfer point they are sold for 15 yuan a bottle. You can wait to buy them, it's only a few minutes' walk.
🏡 We stayed at Chan Yi Inn, which is really nice, just a hundred meters away from the 90-meter Buddha. Here you can experience meditation, tea tasting, copying scriptures, and tracing Buddha images, among other Zen activities. The room design incorporates Zen elements, simple and elegant, with large windows and good lighting.
🍽️ There are many places to eat around the hotel, such as Chizhou Xiaoba, Gegong Tofu, Jiuhua Stone Fish, Bamboo Shoots Braised Pork, Salt and Pepper Polygonatum... You must try these local specialties. The places we went to this time are not recommended (quite ordinary).
