Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, located on Cathedral Hill, was named after Alexander Nevsky, who fought against the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century, and was built between 1894 and 1900. This is the taller and larger domed Orthodox church in Tallinn, with a prominent "onion head" shape. From here you can overlook the entire Old Town of Tallinn and the city of Tallinn. The interior of the church is decorated with mosaics and other patterns and is worth a visit. There is also the famous bell ensemble, played by 11 bells, including the larger one in Tallinn, which can be heard before worship.
