Anthracite, a space of structural beauty with the purpose of spatial regeneration
#JejuTravel #JejuIsland #HotPlace
Anthracite has branches all over the country, including Seocho, Hannam, and Hapjeong~ I visited the Jeju branch😃
Anthracite is not just a simple cafe, but a space that has the meaning of spatial regeneration, and it is a place where music and coffee art come together. The Jeju branch is a place that was reborn as a starch factory in Hallim-eup. They say that they planted seeds in the part where the sunlight gathers through the ceiling and grew plants on the uneven floor of the factory, making it a living space where nature itself is. The day I went, it was rainy and cloudy, but the feeling of a cloudy day without light went well with the cafe~ The machines used in the factory are still there, and plants are placed in the middle of the cafe. What's interesting is that there is a system that automatically waters the plants so that they can grow👍🏻
As expected from a coffee roaster, the coffee was also impressive😌
When you order coffee, you can receive a card that explains the coffee beans you ordered and what kind of taste you can feel~
I think a small card like this enriches the taste of the coffee~ Now, a cafe is not just a place to drink coffee, but a place to consume it as a cultural space.
Enjoy the history and nature of Jeju and delicious coffee in Hallim-eup~
