Gorgeous, historical Aqueduct of Segovia
If you’re going to Madrid, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is worth a visit too! About an hour or so away, one can conveniently purchase a bus ticket at the Madrid Moncloa station for maybe around 10 euros for a return ticket (I’m sorry I forgot the exact price but it was affordable!). And the bus takes you right to the centre of Segovia, which is great.
From there, in just 10 minutes or so you can walk/stroll to this amazing, impressive aqueduct, very obviously the main feature of this town. It’s unmissable and even the main street leading up to it is named after it. Its grand and old and anything grand and old is worth looking at, in my opinion hahaha because hey, it’s been standing for ages. A little piece of history and culture, you know?

🌟Aqueduct of Segovia
Plaza del Azoguejo, 1, 40001 Segovia, Spain
The Aqueduct of Segovia is a Roman aqueduct bridge built in the 1st century AD. Supported by 167 arches, it is the most important landmark of Segovia and was essential in bringing water to the city.
🌟Alcázar of Segovia
Pl. Reina Victoria Eugenia, s/n, 40003 Segovia, Spain
This castle, which inspired the Disney castle, is a must-see attraction in Segovia. Its unique shape, built entirely of stone, originally served as a fortress and later as an artillery and military academy. Inside, you can still see military exhibits and luxurious castle designs. From the roof to the wall decorations to the uniquely designed windows, visitors can imagine how the castle looked many years ago.
🌟Meson Don JIMENO
C. Daoiz, 15, 40003 Segovia, Spain
A very authentic traditional restaurant where you can try Segovia's famous roast suckling pig. For solo diners, the restaurant offers a single portion, which is just the right size and not too greasy, with a perfectly balanced flavor.

Ancient town Segovia
#100WaysOfTravel
I went on a group tour in Spain and Portugal and visited Segovia. Segovia also retains the quaint flavor of the small town, and the narrow streets paved with stones are curved and deep. Strolling around the ancient city, there are cultural relics and ancient buildings everywhere. The most famous of them is the ancient Roman aduct. It was built from the first century to the beginning of the second century AD, with a total length of 728 meters, double-layer arches and more than 100 arches. It is a United Nations World Cultural Heritage. This sink is much longer and better preserved than the one we saw in the previous itinerary. If you plan your own itinerary, just look at this.

The entire old town of Segovia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Segovia's old town is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserving its ancient and medieval architecture remarkably well.
Among them, the Segovia Aqueduct was built during the Roman era to supply water to the highlands. It was constructed to bring clear water from the mountains outside the city and consists of 128 two-tiered arches. The highest point is said to be about 30 meters. This aqueduct, built during the Roman era, is one of the best-preserved aqueducts in Europe, stretching almost 720 meters.
I didn't expect much, but seeing it in person, I was overwhelmed by its grand scale and felt as if I had stepped into medieval Europe.

The Segovia Aqueduct, which I visited while touring Segovia, Spain.
The magnificent aqueduct built during the Roman era was truly awe-inspiring.
I was amazed at the technology that allowed stones to be carved and stacked so intricately. The scenery was amazing, and I was amazed that the aqueduct was still so well preserved. When I climbed up to the top of the aqueduct and looked down, the view was so fantastic that I almost cried!

The Acueducto de Segovia is the most majestic and best preserved Roman ruins on the Iberian Peninsula. It is also a symbol of Segovia. Its image is used in the ancient city of Segovia. The waterway bridge was built in the 1st century AD, up to 28.5 meters, supported by 167 arches, and no bonding material was used between the stones that built the large aqueduct. The water comes from a cold water river 17 km away, which will filter out some sediment on the way, leading to the castle in the old town centre and the Assago Hall. The waterway bridge has been functioning well for nearly two thousand years. In the 15th and late 20th centuries, church bishops and local governments have carried out repairs and maintenance work. The Waterway Bridge is still guiding the flow of water to provide water for Segovia.

The ancient city of Segovia was built in the 80th century BC. When we came to this ancient city from Madrid, we were greeted by magnificent architecture and artistic atmosphere. As the best-preserved ancient city in the Roman Empire, every place here has the characteristics of ancient Rome. The majesty of the building is like the glory of this ancient city written with a heavy pen.
During the Roman Empire, it was a battleground for the military, so the bustling stayed in every corner of the ancient city, whether it was the "Snow White Castle" or the aqueduct that has more than 900 years of history. The ancient city has left a testimony. The buildings in the ancient city that were built in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance show the characteristics of the ancient city in the same vein. When we are in the meantime, we feel the romance of the medieval aristocracy, the natural scenery that has gone through thousands of years of wind and rain, and it seems to bring a retro filter, so that our self-timer comes with a soft light.
We chose a day trip to Segovia. It was time to arrive in Segovia at 10 o'clock in the morning, and the whole of Segovia had just awakened, a little foggy.
The hole in the aqueduct boulder and the edge that is gradually rounded by the wind. The large aqueduct is completely made of a large stone, and there is no cement, and these round holes are formed by hanging stones. This is the most magnificent expression of architecture in this history for nearly a thousand years. In front of such works of art, only marvel. Today, many architects are analyzing the big aqueduct in Rome. The only answer is one, and that is awe.
