Spring OutingsNo.16 of Spring Outings in Beijing
Historic buildings
Badachu Park is located next to Xishan Forest Park. Badachu refers to the eight Buddhist temples in the park. It has a long history and is a famous place for praying in the suburbs of Beijing since ancient times. There are many ginkgo trees and maple trees on the mountain. The red and yellow leaves are very beautiful in autumn. In spring (March-April), thousands of apricots bloom under the Hutou Peak, just like snow. It is a good place to walk, view and climb mountains. Visiting time and route reference The mountains in Badachu Park are not high, and there are steps. It takes about four or five kilometers to climb from the entrance of the Attraction to the top of the mountain, which is suitable for mountain climbing exercise. If you want to climb the mountain specifically, it takes 2-3 hours, and if you want to view the scenery all the way, it takes 4-6 hours or even longer. Generally, you need to prepare a whole day to come from downtown Beijing. If you have poor physical strength or are traveling with the Seniors and children, you can also choose the cableway and slide in the Attraction, especially the slide from the top of the mountain, which is very exciting and suitable for children to experience. Badachu Highlights The eight places in the park refer to Chang'an Temple, Lingguang Temple, Sanshan Temple, Dabei Temple, Longquan Temple, Xiangjie Temple, Baozhu Cave and Zhengguo Temple. Except for Chang'an Temple, which is still closed, the other seven are open to tourists. Lingguang Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty. There is a Buddha tooth relic in the temple. There are only two of these relics in the world, so it is very famous in Buddhist temples. The legend is also very effective, so Lingguang Temple is also a place where people pray more in Badachu Park. The four to seven temples are mainly for scenery. Six of them were the emperor's palaces at that time, so the scenery is as exquisite as the gardens, and the surrounding mountains are also very beautiful, so the main purpose of sightseeing is to view the scenery. There are lush ancient ginkgo trees in four places, clear and beautiful Longquan in five places, imposing and exquisite buildings in six places, and a good place to watch the panoramic view of Beijing and the sunrise in seven places. "The Ninth Place": Cliff Valley In addition to the eight major places, the recently discovered Cliff Valley is called the "Ninth Place". There are many Buddha and Bodhisattva statues carved in the Ming Dynasty on the stone cliffs in the valley. They have been hidden in the mountains for hundreds of years. You can go and see them. There are also scenic spots such as glacial drifts, which you can take a quick look at when you pass by. In addition to many scenic spots, just coming here to see the mountain scenery and mountain climbing exercise are also good choices.
