A trip to Angkor Wat is one of the top lists in my life, because I have to have a lot of determination to see the temple tower in "fasting" 😅. If visiting the main temples of Cambodia🇰🇭, it is recommended to stay 3 days, that is, stay 5 or 6 days. Anyway, you have to get a tourist visa before you leave.
It takes about two hours to fly from Hong Kong to Cambodia. After watching a movie, we arrive. 📱
The first 2 days of the trip visited famous temples outside the city, such as the Holy Sword Temple, etc., really walking and eating 😌. On the third day, take the "tuk tuk" to the "Little Angkor" city area. Angkor Wat is surrounded by large trees and moats. As soon as you get off the bus, you can see the difference between Angkor Wat and other temple towers — a long straight road that leads straight to the main temple, flanked by the Tibetan Sutra Pavilion on the central axis, which is grand from a distance and deserves to be one of the best preserved temples in Cambodia. There is a pool of water in front of the temple, which will give you a reflection of Angkor Wat.
The lower floor of the temple consists of a maze of cloisters, which are inscribed with numerous reliefs of Indian mythology and are well preserved. Walking up, the upper few floors of the design look like a whole pyramid, which is rarely seen in Southeast Asian countries. Looking out from the top of the central pagoda temple you can see the design of Angkor Wat is very detailed, with just the right balance of proportions. The temple is covered with a whole forest in the distance, it is very spectacular, the whole ancient city in the forest, you can imagine the locals were passionate about religion to build such a great building.
#Bayang Temple #bayon near Angkor Wat is very famous.
If you don't hire a guide, be sure to do information gathering to make it easier to understand the history of Angkor Wat. Google aerial photography shows the scale of Angkor Wat.
Consumption in Cambodia is very low. The hotel was very cheap, I was staying at #centralboutiqueangkorhotel, 1800 dollars for 6 days, very Villa feel. Definitely a choice for #poor travel and #travel alone.
Have not tried Khmer dishes can try, such as amok, Khmer roast chicken; many snacks you have not tried, such as fried scorpion centipede, etc., there was the urge to try, but there is no maximum determination😓. For dinner, go to the night market area to find food, bars 🍺, restaurants 🍽🍾 everything.
Visit Angkor Wat to exercise your physical fitness. Firstly, the weather is very hot, ride "tuk tuk" 3 minutes vest has been wet, secondly 3 days of travel constantly climbing stairs, walking up is not hard, but witness the history and culture of Cambodia, and take beautiful photos, very worth it🙌. I will be thin when I travel for the first time. 😅
Tips
1 Leaving Angkor Wat and the night market area, other places are relatively backward, so don't go around, it's best to have a friend with you, thinking back to #traveling alone was a bit scary🤦♂️🤦♂️.
2 Visit Angkor Wat and nearby attractions, preferably by chartering a car or “tuk-tuk”, you can bargain.
3 Many drivers suggest visiting Angkor Wat as the last stop of the day's itinerary, because you can take pictures until dusk 🌇, Google it, it's very beautiful.
4 May to October is the rainy season sightseeing is more troublesome.
