📍Recommended walking tour in the 6th arrondissement of Paris|Hipster shop × classic coffee × drugstore restock × Italian gelato all in one place!
If you ask me: "Which district in Paris is the best for strolling, shopping and being touched?"
I will definitely say the 6th arrondissement of Paris💖
Here is the most romantic combination in my mind: the Little Prince, a small bookstore, an old cafe, and super delicious ice cream.
✨ 1. Little Prince fans please come in!
🛍️ LE PETIT PRINCE STORE PARIS
📍Address: 8 Rue Grégoire de Tours, 75006 Paris
🕒Opening hours: Sunday – Friday 13:00–19:00|Saturday 11:00–19:00
📞Tel: +33 9 86 46 74 09
This is a small shop that makes people turn back into children as soon as they walk in!
The entire store specializes in selling officially licensed products of "The Little Prince", from books, postcards, puzzles, mugs, plush dolls, to designer T-shirts. Whether you are a fan of the Little Prince or not, it is easy to lose your wallet. I lingered in it for a long time!
💡Reminder: The store is very small and it will be crowded when there are many people, but the atmosphere is super good and the staff are also very friendly!
📚 2. Shakespeare & Company
📍37 Rue de la Bûcherie, 75005 Paris
If you love literature or like old bookstores📖, then you must have heard of this bookstore. The strong woody book fragrance, the poems you flipped through, and the small beds between the bookshelves (really!) make this bookstore a pilgrimage site in the hearts of travelers around the world💖.
There are often people playing the piano and street performers at the door. It is very literary. It is about a 10-minute walk from the Little Prince store.
☕ 3. Les Deux Magots × Café de Flore
📍6 Place Saint-Germain des Prés / 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain
These two cafés, one on the left and one on the right, face each other, are the most representative places on the Left Bank☕️. You can sit in Les Deux Magots and imagine yourself as Baudelaire, or sit in the window of Café de Flore and imagine yourself as the era of Beauvoir and Sartre.
Although it has a strong sense of tourism and is expensive🤌🏻, the atmosphere and history are irreplaceable😭.
💊 4. Citypharma, a paradise for replenishing cosmetics
📍26 Rue du Four, 75006 Paris
Needless to say, this is the most famous drugstore in Paris, known as the "pilgrimage site for tourists". Vichy, Nuxe, Caudalie, and La Roche-Posay are all super-low prices💸💸💸.
It's not an exaggeration to say that the checkout queue is like Costco in Taiwan on weekends, but it's really worth buying and stocking up. You may be shopping while wondering why there is only a 23kg luggage limit🥹🥹🥹.
🍦 5. Amorino Italian Gelato|My most personal recommendation for the queue dessert
📍16 Rue de la Huchette, 75005 Paris (near Shakespeare and Company)
I really love Amorino and have eaten it more than once. Although it is a chain store, its greatness lies in:
1️⃣ You can choose a lot of ice cream flavors, with no restrictions! Share with your travel companions, and everyone can choose the flavor they like~ (lemon is highly recommended🍋!)
2️⃣ The clerk will help you make each flavor into a petal shape, which looks so beautiful that you don't want to bite it🌸...
3️⃣ The point is: the CP value is super high! It's about the same price as Italian gelato in Taiwan🍨, cheap and delicious😋!
⚠️ Be careful if you have difficulty choosing, it is easy to get stuck at the counter for 10 minutes hahahaha!
💡 Recommended walking route
Exit from Mabillon or Odéon subway station → Le Petit Prince → Café de Flore → Les Deux Magots → Citypharma → Shakespeare and Company → Amorino
This route is not far to walk, you can arrange half a day to walk and stroll slowly. When the sun shines down, every street looks like a movie scene🎬.
This area is not the most lively and tallest Paris,
but it is my favorite side - gentle, with stories, suitable for putting down the map and getting lost.
