Yes, it is a tad difficult to make a trip via public transport if you don't self drive in Okinawa but this is worth the effort to come by! Even though the day that I went happened to be gloomy but it didn't take away the beauty of this area at all. Instead I find that there's another form of beauty of this place against the gloomy skies. And because it was gloomy, the waves were strong, it was simply thereupeutic looking at the waves came crashing through the rocks over and over again. If you are visiting Okinawa Main Island, you should not miss it! Cape Hedo is a small cape from which you can see the waves on the coast below. The water is so clear that you can even see the rocks on the seabed! Since we arrived at noon, we had lunch at Cape Hedo. There are two restaurants there. The outdoor restaurant is cheaper than the tourist one and the food looks better. The boss cooks it right away, so you will have to wait longer for the food. I ordered Taco Lais, which was really the best Taco Lais I have ever had. Of course, there is also a pavilion next to it. If you bring your own lunch, you can also choose to eat in the pavilion while enjoying the scenery. There are many posters posted at the tourist center, and various events are held from time to time. You can also do a little research before going! There is very little light pollution in Okinawa, and it is pitch black at night.
