The Cathedral of Macau (Catedral Igreja da Sé), also known as the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady, is located on Cathedral Square in central Macau Peninsula. First built in 1576, it is within the Historic Center of Macau, and was included on the list of World Heritage Sites in 2005. People call it the ‘Great Church’; though it is not the largest, it is the most influential church in Macau. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and Jesus Christ, it serves the second largest parish on Macau Peninsular, including Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, the South Bay, and Terminal Marítimo.

It is cheap and the routes are dense, so it is perfect for quick and easy travel during your trip. The bus stops have route numbers and major stops clearly marked in English/Chinese, so it is very easy to use Google Maps. Most fares are 6 MOP (Macau Pataca), and Hong Kong dollars are also accepted! You can pay in cash, but the most convenient way is to use the Macau transportation card (Macau Pass). When boarding, tap the transportation card on the terminal or insert coins as you enter through the front door, and when you get off, just get out through the back door! An important tip is that you won’t get change! I recommend preparing change or using a transportation card. The inside of the bus is clean and the air conditioning is good, so it is comfortable. Especially **routes connecting tourist attractions (e.g. Senado Square ↔ Venetian Hotel)** allow you to enjoy the city's atmosphere in a short time. If you install Macau bus apps such as 'Tcm' or 'Mo Bus', you can check the real-time location and arrival time! Macau Trip ~ Cathedral Square ~ This is a World Heritage Site square in front of the Cathedral. It is a cobblestone square with a fountain and benches, making it the perfect place to take a break between sightseeing. It is beautifully lit up at night. This square and Cathedral are on a slight hill, so the square is about 3m higher than the surrounding area, and there is a warehouse below. The walls of this step are decorated with tile paintings made with Portuguese tiles, and there is an interesting one in the eastern corner, so check it out. #Macau #MacauTrip #FreeTabi

Macau, Macau Sightseeing There are many tourist spots in Macau, but this time I went to the Cathedral Square, so I'll share what it was like there. 📍 Cathedral Square 📍 No. 12 Calçada de São João, Macau Cathedral Square is a square diagonally in front of the Cathedral, and is a World Heritage Site along with the Cathedral! There is a photogenic fountain in the center of the square (although it was stopped), and the stone pavement (calzadas) also creates a nice atmosphere, so it's one of the tourist spots you should definitely visit. There are a few benches in Cathedral Square, so many people were taking a break between sightseeing. I went back to Macau for the second time . this place is place is great I would visit again if I could. and like always i went to cathedral just take a look feel the aura and i bought some souvenirs . i also went to St.Paul i love that place because everyone is there especially in the evening you can meet fellow tourists there even local people and also expats. And the people are friendly if you are a solo traveler like me you can go there and will definitely make some friends. i liked it .Unfortunately this time I couldn't ho to Taipa 😭.#macau #taipa I Love Macau
