This is another important tourist attraction of Betong. It is located on Highway 410 Yala-Betong, at kilometer 33, Ban Km. 32. The original name was “Wang Weng” or “Aiyer Kem” waterfall because it was named after the Chinese who came to mine with the French during the Malay-Betong era. The name Kheng was changed to “Ai Kheng” by the locals, “Ai Kheng”, “Ai Keng”, which was changed to “Aiyer Kem”.
Later, in the auspicious year of the 72nd birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1999, the route was developed and developed into a tourist attraction. The name has been changed to Chaloem Phrakiat Waterfall Rama 9 since then.
From the main road to the entrance of the waterfall, some parts are dirt and slightly narrow. When you reach the entrance of the waterfall, walk for another 700 meters. Along the way, you will see a stream flowing from the waterfall above.
The waterfall is located in a lush forest. Flowing from a cliff over 30 meters high, causing water mist to float in the air. The surrounding area is covered with lush greenery.
There are about 2 pavilions for sitting and relaxing while enjoying the view of the waterfall. Water from a height flows down along small and large rocks. The atmosphere is shady and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Chaloem Phrakiat Waterfall, Rama 9, although it is a small waterfall, has water flowing all year round.
