Danthewada is a large garden covering an area of over 9 rai, considered a large landmark in Mae Taeng District. It is a simulation of Mount Sumeru and the Himmapan Forest in a beautiful and shady way. Inside, there are various gardens, including a flower garden, a Japanese garden, a large cliff with a waterfall flowing down, and a beautiful and stunning blue-green waterfall. In addition, there are many beautiful photo spots in the area, such as the wooden house with a long staircase leading up to the viewpoint, and the shady forest garden area where light shines through the trees amidst the mist, creating a beautiful atmosphere. There is also a small cafe and the Mae Taeng Old Market, which has OTOP products and souvenirs for you to buy. History
Danthewada is located near the Mae Taeng District Office and covers an area of over 9 rai. This place was established by Mr. Prawet Tanwattana, a diamond and gold wholesaler from Yala who was impressed by the charm of Chiang Mai and invested in building this “Danthewada” as another landmark on the banks of the Mae Taeng River - Chiang Mai. The interior is designed to be a beautiful and shady natural tourist attraction, with the highlights being the simulated Mount Sumeru and the Himmapan Forest. Inside the area, there are many kinds of trees. The area is divided into 4 zones. The first zone is a small cafe called "Jip Kafae Lae Tham" which serves drinks, snacks and food in a bento box. The second zone is "We love flowers" which is a large flower garden with an artificial waterfall as a backdrop. The third zone is at the very back next to the curve of the Mae Taeng River, which is the other side of the artificial waterfall mountain. The interior is decorated with a Japanese garden and is home to "Mata Cafe" which serves simple fusion Japanese food. The fourth zone is "Kad Mae Taeng" which is a small market with OTOP products and souvenirs for sale.
How to get to the land of angels
- Car (Car) From Chiang Mai city to the land of angels is about 40 kilometers away and takes about 1 hour.
You can rent a car or hire a local bus to various tourist attractions in Chiang Mai Province as convenient.
