Accommodation where you can enjoy breakfast + open-air bath + pottery experience all at once✅
#Emotional Accommodation
This is a private accommodation located on Baekdudaegan Mountain past an orchard, where only two groups can stay per day, so you can enjoy it more quietly, and for those who are on the move, they also provide pickup at Chunyang Station on weekdays. 🚙
I fell in love with the underground rock water open-air bath that feels like a Japanese hot spring, and this time, they opened an annex, so you can experience pottery and take a great photo at the photo zone with Baekdudaegan Mountain in the background. 📸
🌟The pottery experience is conducted by the owner's husband in small groups, and he personally teaches you how to make a bowl of the desired size, and then it is baked and delivered after going through various processes!!! Up to 2 hours, you can make 3 pottery pieces, so it's definitely a win-win👍🏻

I want to keep it to myself, but I wish everyone knew! Bonghwa Bijin Forest Coffee🌳
The reason I planned my third trip to Bonghwa was because I really wanted to go there. It would be ridiculous to drive 3 hours on the highway to go to a cafe, but now cafes are not just places to drink coffee, but they also serve as tourist destinations in the area, so a pretty cafe tour has become a must-do travel course no matter where you go♥️
But there was a place like this in Bonghwa, Gyeongbuk?
It feels like a fairy tale village in the forest unfolds before your eyes! It is a really pretty and lovely emotional cafe that is worth visiting!
I highly recommend it as a Gyeongbuk travel course. It is a place that satisfies both your eyes and mouth because the coffee and desserts are all delicious♥️

A place where Christmas is in full swing all year round, Bonghwa Buncheon Santa Village🎅🎄
A place where you can feel Christmas in all four seasons, not just winter
Introducing Buncheon Santa Village in Bonghwa, Gyeongbuk🎄
The valley train departing from Buncheon Station runs all the way to Taebaek,
so it would be great as a snow flower tour course in winter🤍
This Christmas, it snowed a lot, so it was a real white Christmas landscape, but we've only been there in fall and summer, so if we hear news of snow again, we'll go again before this winter passes🤍 The drive is also beautiful and it's a place where you can heal, how about trying a different winter trip in Bonghwa🎄🎅

Buncheon Santa Village is the perfect winter travel destination!
This is the Buncheon Santa Village in Bonghwa, Gyeongbuk, which I visited because my 8-year-old daughter said, "I want to meet Santa."
Although I didn't get to see the snow-covered Santa Village because I went in the summer, I'm looking forward to seeing the snow-covered Santa Village if I go any time soon!
If you go to the Santa Village, it's also a good idea to visit the station and receive a postcard~
They also hold various events in the winter, so it would be great to visit with kids!

A lovely accommodation surrounded by apple orchards
🍎 After deciding on Bonghwa as a travel destination,
I searched and chose a place really hard,
and I'll introduce you to a place that was more satisfying than I expected!
That's right, the Apple Mansion in Bonghwa, a pretty place surrounded by apple orchards : )
I made a reservation through Airbnb
and it's a popular place, so I made a reservation about two months ago
If you go during the apple season,
you can see a pretty apple orchard from the accommodation,
and you can also experience apple picking,
but I went in the winter and that part was a little disappointing
However, it was really cozy and clean,
and the owner couple was really kind,
and we had a barbecue in a quiet and healing space,
and we saw the starry night sky, and it was the best 💎💙
In particular, the breakfast prepared for us in the morning
and the honey apples grown by the owner were the best!
We had delicious coffee and breakfast on our own terrace where only the birdsong could be heard. It was an unforgettable experience : )
I highly recommend it to those planning a trip to Bonghwa 😉💛

A perfect healing spot: Bonghwa's charming cafe "Bijin Forest Coffee"
📍Location: 1573-33, Yebong-ro, Sangun-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk
📍This cafe is located up a winding mountain road, making it difficult to access via public transportation. However, once you arrive, you'll feel it was worth the trip. Highly recommended for those tired of city life.
📍The cafe features a spacious lawn, perfect for relaxation 🌿🌿 and a great place for kids to run around. The cafe is divided into a no-kids zone and a kids zone.
📍In celebration of Halloween, the cafe is decorated with pumpkins, skeletons, and ghost figures, which fascinated the children.
📍There's also a truck selling various trinkets, which is worth checking out.

Capture the essence of Bonghwa! Bonghwa Cheongnyangsan
Cheongnyangsan (淸凉山) in Bonghwa, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is a renowned mountain standing at an elevation of approximately 870 meters. Bonghwa Travel Must-Visit! The Stunning Cheongamjeong Pavilion and Seokcheon Valley
Cheongamjeong Pavilion and Seokcheon Valley in Bonghwa are iconic attractions in Gyeongsangbuk-do, where nature and tradition blend beautifully. Cheongamjeong Pavilion, built by the renowned scholar Kwon Beol during the reign of King Jungjong of the Joseon Dynasty, is perched atop Turtle Rock. Surrounded by water and stone bridges, it resembles a picturesque landscape painting. This site was also praised as one of Korea's most scenic spots by the scholar Yi Jung-hwan in his book 'Taekriji.'
Seokcheon Valley is characterized by its lush pine forest and clear stream waters. With its wide expanse and shallow depth, the valley is a popular summer destination for families. Visitors can enjoy water activities and picnics while strolling along the Bonghwa Pine Forest Trail, savoring the forest's fragrance and the valley's refreshing ambiance. At the end of the trail, you'll find the serene Seokcheonjeongsa Pavilion and the cultural heritage site of Daksil Village.
Designated as Scenic Site No. 60, Cheongamjeong Pavilion and Seokcheon Valley offer a unique opportunity to experience the academic spirit, culture, and leisure of the Joseon era amidst breathtaking natural scenery. Highly recommended for summer retreats, year-round healing, leisurely walks, small gatherings, and family outings.

The serene and picturesque beauty reminiscent of Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto
If you prefer tranquil architecture harmonized with nature over a trip to a bustling city, I highly recommend Cheongnyangsa Temple located in Bonghwa!
I have a particular fondness for Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto, Japan, and I felt that the grand yet serene atmosphere of Bonghwa Cheongnyangsa Temple closely resembles that of Kiyomizu-dera.
Nestled like a lotus flower in the middle of the peaks of Cheongnyangsan Mountain, Cheongnyangsa Temple is surrounded by breathtaking scenery that leaves no room for your eyes to rest.
Although it requires a 40-minute hike from the parking lot to reach the temple, making it no easy feat, it is undoubtedly worth every step!
Personally, I am not a fan of hiking, but this temple made me want to revisit despite that. When you finally arrive, the stunning view of the rocky cliffs and pine forests blending together will leave you in awe.
Cheongnyangsa Temple was founded by the great monk Wonhyo in the 3rd year of King Munmu of Silla (663), boasting a history of over 1,400 years. In the past, it was a large temple complex with as many as 33 subsidiary buildings. Walking along the mountain slopes while listening to the sound of clear valley water gives you a refreshing feeling that reaches your soul!

Cheongnyangsan Mountain – The Mountain That Touches the Sky
Located in Bonghwa, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Cheongnyangsan Mountain, just like its nickname, "The Mountain That Touches the Sky," exudes a clear and pristine energy. The peaks form a folding screen, creating breathtaking scenery. From the summit, the Nakdong River and Bonghwa's surrounding landscape are spectacular. The terrain is gentle and easy to hike, making it a perfect family outing. The autumn foliage is particularly beautiful, and the temples and cultural heritage sites intertwine to create a fusion of history and nature.

[Remote Station] Ryongwon Station on the Yeongdong Line
After about an hour and 40 minutes on the Mugunghwa 1680 train, which departed from Donghae Station in South Korea at 6:08am, I arrived at Yangwon, a remote station on the Yeongdong Line, enjoying the beautiful green valley view from the train window.
I was the only one who got off at the platform that jutted out over the river. There were no passengers boarding, and as the electric locomotive-pulled passenger train passed by, its machinery echoing through the mountains, a quiet space spread out where the only sound to be heard was the murmuring of the river.
Originally, there was no station here, and it was a remote village where people had to walk along dangerous tracks to get to the neighboring town. Thanks to the petitions and work of the local people, the station was finally opened, and the story of the station was even made into a movie.
Although there are few trains that stop at this remote station, and it seems that there are few passengers on a regular basis, the waiting room is kept clean and it is a station where you can feel the love of the locals. Crossing the bridge near the station, there are several households and guesthouses on the hilltop, so it does not seem to be a completely uninhabited area.
I visited on a Sunday, and perhaps because I caught the first train of the morning, I did not encounter any other visitors and was able to have Korea's most remote station all to myself.
My return train was the 9:09am Mugunghwa 1671 train bound for Donghae. Perhaps because I had come all the way from Dongdaegu, it arrived 11 minutes late. No passengers got off, and I was the only one getting on. I would also like to visit Ryowon Station in the autumn foliage season or the harsh winter season.
