The best value accommodation in Sokcho~👍
I suddenly had to travel to Sokcho over the weekend~
After considering a few places, I made a reservation at Chestertons Sokcho, which is famous for its cost-effectiveness~ Since the price was cheap, I didn't have high expectations for the facilities~ But when I actually stayed there, I thought the auxiliary facilities were so great for a residence hotel that I'd like to introduce them~❤️
First of all, it's located right in front of Cheongcho Lake, so you can easily access Jungang Market, Yeongrang Lake, Daepo Port, and the beach, and depending on which building you stay in, you can enjoy Cheongcho Lake, the East Sea, and Seoraksan Mountain views (Ulsanbawi)~
Although it's a residence hotel, it was newly built and very cleanly managed, and since it's quite large with 4 buildings, it had auxiliary facilities that were comparable to those of a luxury hotel, such as a sauna (paid), swimming pool, hot spring, VR room, kids cafe (Crackle Crocodile - paid), fitness center, golf practice range, party room (paid), shared kitchen (paid), and rooftop. I haven't used it, but they also have various training programs such as yoga and cooking classes. It was the same~ The parking lot was also very comfortable and there were 16 electric car chargers, which seems to be the most among the hotels I've been to~
Honestly, if it weren't for the officetel-like atmosphere that is typical of residence hotels, it doesn't seem to fall short of luxury hotels~
However, some of the disappointing parts were that there was no breakfast (you have to bring your own ingredients from the shared kitchen or cook semi-cooked food that is sold and eat it😅😅😅), due to the recent eco-friendly policy, room cleaning is not provided as a basic service unless you stay long term and can be requested for a fee, there is no separate cafe, and the childcare service that was in the kids cafe is gone😭😭😭. Considering the accommodation fee, I think it's a policy to minimize fixed personnel costs as much as possible.
However, it is the largest, cleanest, and most convenient residence hotel I have ever stayed at, so I think it would be good to visit again if I stay in Sokcho again next time~
If you are looking for a cost-effective accommodation with a swimming pool for your children, I think it would be good to consider it~❤️❤️❤️
