Where do you want to go when you go on a trip to Gyeongju?
📍Woljeonggyo
Night view restaurant! The photos come out so so beautifully ㅎㅎ
Here's a photo tip,
If you go at night and take photos, focus on Woljeonggyo and turn the brightness down really really low!
That way, the details won't be blown away by the lights coming out of Woljeonggyo and you'll get a photo of Woljeonggyo shining majestically against a dark background✨
I went there during the day on another day,
and Woljeonggyo, which was brightly lit at night, was beautifully simple during the day ㅎㅎ
If you go during the day, you can take photos with Woljeonggyo like me without losing any light, so it's good for taking photos lightly ㅎㅎ
📍Daereungwon
If you walk into Daereungwon, you'll find a very, very long line at some point! Yes, that is the famous Daereungwon photo spot. ㅎㅎㅎ
However, I hate waiting in long lines to take pictures, so I searched for other photo spots!
As a result of working hard, I was able to take pictures that were similar to the Daereungwon signature(?) photo zone, although it wasn't the cool Daereungwon signature(?) photo zone. ㅋㅋㅋ
And after taking all the pictures, taking a picture in front of the stone wall also turned out pretty!
I took a picture with the opposite side of the stone wall as the background, and it turned out pretty because there were so many trees and it was so green. ㅎㅎ
📍Gabonban and
This is a cafe near the accommodation I stayed at when I first traveled to Gyeongju!
The atmosphere was so good that I went there twice more on my trips to Gyeongju. ㅎㅎ
It's pretty to take pictures in a place with a few wooden chairs,
and if you sit in a private room(?), you can take pictures using the window! If you close your eyes and put your face in the gentle sunlight coming in through the window, you can show off a simple yet elegant charm ㅎㅎ
📍Gampo Port
Did you know that there is an ocean in Gyeongju?
In fact, it is quite far from Hwangridan-gil, the downtown area of Gyeongjuㅜㅜ
At the time, I went with my backpacking friends, so I think it took over an hour by bus.
But I think it would be great to visit at least once!
After solving all the accommodations, meals, and cafes on the crowded Hwangridan-gil, my heart felt refreshed and my mind was cleared when I saw the quiet ocean ㅎㅎ
If you are tired of the crowded downtown and beach, I recommend Gampo Port, where you can satisfy both the ocean and the quiet charm.
📍Come on, come on
I think everyone who has been to Hwangridan-gil knows this!
A bookstore that is everywhere
A bookstore that is nowhere else
It is called Come on, come on.
If you buy a book here, they will put the book in a prescription bag! Books are said to be food for the mind, right?
In this way, they can be food, and these days, there are many cases where people gain not only knowledge but also peace and stability of mind by reading books, so I cautiously predict that books may be ‘prescribed’.
It may be a bit crowded and chaotic because many people enter the relatively small bookstore,
but the atmosphere created by the songs and scents flowing out of Eoseo Eoseo is so good that I always end up buying a book here.
It is a good bookstore that is small but has a lot to see.
📍Hwangridan-gil Stay
Lastly, this is where I stayed on my first trip to Gyeongju.
I wanted a place with a hanok feel, so I searched hard and found it.
Hwangridan-gil Stay had three small rooms: Hwangbang, Ribang, and Danbang, and a Sarangchae? that could be used by families.
The Hwangbang had large windows, so I thought it would be good to take pictures both outside and inside. ㅎㅎ
I stayed in Ribang at that time, and the owner was kind and affectionate, so I had a good time. There was a brazier in the yard, so in the evening, the owner would light a fire and we could have a bonfire.
My friends and I came out and roasted marshmallows and sweet potatoes and chatted with the owner, and then the people in the next room came out one by one, making it a noisy and cheerful atmosphere, just like a guesthouse.
I had never experienced that when I actually stayed at a guesthouse, so it was unfamiliar to experience that kind of atmosphere in a regular accommodation, but it was so cozy and left a good memory.
I promised the owner that I would definitely stay at Hwangridan-gil Stay again if I ever travel to Gyeongju again,
but since then, I have only gone on day trips to Gyeongju, so I haven't had a chance to stay there yet.
But it's such a great accommodation that I would definitely visit again. ㅎㅎ
