[Female solo travel in Taipei] Start your morning with delicious Xiaolongbao and soy milk! Recommended breakfast restaurants
A Taipei morning starts with breakfast! Introducing "Ding Yuan Soy Milk", a restaurant where you can eat a delicious breakfast 🫶
⭐️Review
A soy milk shop on a street corner with a long-established feel. According to guidebooks, it was originally called "Shengyuan Doujiang" and was located in a different place.
Order at the counter and then sit down. The Xiaolongbao took a little time to be served, so they were served later, but the salty soy milk was handed to me when I ordered.
I thought the salty soy milk was a little on the sour side. The soy milk was mellow and delicious, but I personally prefer the salty soy milk from Fuhang Doujiang, which has a strong chili oil accent. However, the texture of the pickled mustard greens is good.
The Xiaolongbao I was looking for was honestly just average. The gravy had a gentle taste and was delicious, but maybe a little bland. It seemed freshly steamed, but it wasn't hot. The skin was a little thick, so it was filling and I was full when eating alone. The soup is well sealed in, and it's a good deal at only 120 Taiwanese dollars for this amount.
Everything was delicious, and I think it's worth going at least once. I was able to get in without having to queue, so if you're short on time, it's worth a try.
