Historic buildings
Tokokuji Temple was built in 1909 by the Japanese monk Zeno Buddhist Master, and it is a temple with historical lessons. It is an existing Japanese-style temple in Korea that has been colonized by the Japanese and the Korean Empire until the present, and is characterized by an interior corridor connecting Daeungjeon Hall and Liaoshejae. Completely different from Korea's splendid red eaves, the unadorned eaves and the many windows on the outer wall of Daeungjeon Hall show Japanese colors. As a branch of Gochang Chanunsa Temple in the 24th Diocese of Jogye Sect, the Daeungjeon Hall of Donggukji Temple was designated as National Designated Registered Cultural Property No. 64 in July 2003.
