Dujiangyan Confucius Temple.
Dujiangyan (formerly Guanxian) Confucius Temple, also known as Kong Temple and Fuzi Temple, is located at the intersection of Wenmiao Street and Shuyuan Street in Guankou Town, Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province. It is a site from the Five Dynasties and covers an area of 47 acres. It is the largest and most complete county-level Confucius temple in the Chengdu area.
The Confucius Temple is backed by Yulei Mountain, facing the Minjiang River, adjacent to Wenbi Mountain (also known as Jinguishan) on the left, and Xiaoleiguping on the right. It is a temple where Confucius and Confucian sages have been worshipped for generations, and it is also the location of the academy and the Confucian school official's yamen.
The Confucius Temple consists of Lingxing Gate, Pan Pool, Dacheng Hall, Minghuan Temple, Xiangxian Temple, Chongsheng Temple, Ritual Utensil Library, East and West Xiu, Zunjing Pavilion, Kuixing Pavilion, etc.
The Confucius Temple is the first in the country to restore the historical and cultural functions of the "temple and school in one" of the Confucius Temple, activate the ritual space functions of the Confucius Temple, run a Confucian academy to cultivate talents, and build the first Confucian Six Arts Cultural Experience Park in China. It is known as the "only living Confucius Temple in China".
The Confucius Temple is open all year round. To visit the Confucius Temple, you can take Dujiangyan Bus No. 4, No. 7, and No. 9 and get off at Lidui Park (Dujiangyan Scenic Area) Station, and then walk to Dujiangyan Confucius Temple.
