The National Gallery of Finland, also known as the Ateneum Art Gallery, was founded in 1887. Named after the ancient Greek temple Ateneo, it means that the art museum is like a temple in the world, which houses many beautiful things. The museum collects nearly 20,000 pieces of Finnish art from the 18th century to the 1860s. It is divided into multiple exhibition areas and has a complete collection of Finnish classical art. In each exhibition area, paintings by famous artists such as Serov and Galen Carrera are displayed. In addition, the works of Chagall and Van Gogh are also exhibited in the museum, which are also not to be missed. Every year there will be different other art collections that will tour here. Since 2009, a special exhibition hall has been opened here to house Japanese woodcuts. On the second floor of the outer wall of the museum, there are three busts of famous classical artists: architect Bramante, painter Raphael and sculptor Phidias.
