[Naha City] A hidden spot that's full of energy💡
Although it is located in the center of Naha, there are few tourists who visit the former Sogenji Stone Gate.
Sogenji Temple, which was built in the Muromachi period, was destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa,
and only the stone gate was restored after the war to its current appearance 🤔
The stone gate is designated as an important cultural property of the country,
and its atmosphere and solidity alone are worth seeing!
And once you pass through the stone gate, there is a huge banyan tree 🌳
I love banyan trees, which have incredible vitality,
so I was overwhelmed as soon as I stepped inside 😳
Even though there is a road with buses passing by in front of me,
when I entered here, the hustle and bustle around me was drowned out,
and I even felt a sacred and special atmosphere ✨
It is less than a 10-minute walk from Miebashi Station or Makishi Station on the Yui Rail.
It's within walking distance from Kokusai Street,
so it's recommended if you have time in Naha city 🙋♂️

[Okinawa] Naha City: Let's visit Naha's hidden power spot
A historic spot that stands alone along a busy main street in Naha City: the ruins of Sogenji Temple. Sogenji Temple is a temple that enshrines the spirits of the Ryukyu kings, and is characterized by its arched stone gate. It is a typical example of stone architecture in Okinawa. It is also a national important cultural property and a prefecture-designated tangible cultural property. Once you pass through this stone gate, you will be amazed by the large banyan tree. It is said to be the largest banyan tree in Naha City, and is also a power spot. It is a mysterious space in the city of Naha where you can feel a special atmosphere. You can also feel the history of Okinawa through the stone gates and castle walls. It is also close to Kokusai Street, so if you have time, please stop by. [Sogenji Temple Ruins]

Sonohiya Take Ontake Sekimon
#okinawatrip It is Sonohiya Take Ontake Sekimon behind Shuri Castle.
It's on the left side just after entering Shuri Castle, but it's a world heritage site that is so inconspicuous that if you don't know it, you'll pass by the Shurei Gate.
But tourists from overseas are lining up here to take pictures,
Even if you pass by, you may notice that you should not pass by on the way home.
It is a compact but well-made gate, and you can enjoy it with a profound feeling even if you look at it from the back.
