[2025 New York Attraction] Travel Guide for Gantry Plaza State Park (Updated Sep)

One of my favorite spots in NYC is in Astoria, Queens. Here in Astoria park you can get a picture perfect view from the East river overlooking the Manhattan skyline. People don’t often think of venturing out to Queens, but this is one of the few places where you can get an uninterrupted view of the skyline. After strolling through the park, you can hop on the metro and be in Manhattan in 15 minutes! It’s always nice to admire the buildings and art in Soho. If you manage to make it down to Chelsea market, you can grab a meal from any of their many restaurants and treat yourself to a tasty dessert after. Our choice was gelato 😋 (strange as it sounds I went for the olive oil flavor - don’t knock it til you try it!) #urbanexplorer

New York's night view spot, Gantry Park! Personally, if you ask me where the night view is the prettiest in New York, I would definitely say Gantry Park. Especially during the Christmas season, if you go to Gantry Park, you can often find houses decorated for Christmas like the photo above. A Christmas culture that Korea should definitely learn..! If you pass by such beautiful roads, you can find the breathtaking night view of Gantry Park. The best angle to see the Empire State Building, but a hidden place that is not as well known to tourists as you might think! 🏙️ Gantry Plaza Park The best spot to enjoy the stunning Manhattan skyline ✨ It's none other than Gantry Plaza Park. Take the 7 train and get off at Vernon Blvd–Jackson Avenue, then walk about 15 minutes to reach the park 🚇. The name 'Gantry' originates from large cargo cranes, and the park still features steel crane structures that add a unique vibe 🏗️. As soon as you arrive, the breathtaking view unfolds before your eyes. You can see the UN Headquarters, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and One World Trade Center all at once! It's truly jaw-dropping. The park hosts free yoga classes 🧘 every week, and its spacious area makes it perfect for walking or jogging 🚶♀️🏃. Especially during sunset, the scenery is absolutely artistic, making it a highly recommended photo spot. The well-maintained lawn is filled with people spreading out picnic mats, enjoying meals, or reading books 📖🍱. It offers a charm different from Central Park! Honestly, I liked this place even more 💖. Behind the park, there are luxury residential buildings with Manhattan views that surpass even the Han River views. The price of these homes... I didn't even dare to look it up 😂💸. 👉 If you want to enjoy unforgettable views and relaxation in New York, Gantry Plaza Park is highly recommended! 🌿🌇✨

Long island in NYC is just out of space!

I was lost in thought. It would have been better to look at it while sitting or lying down on a chair in warm weather. And since the park stretches along the river, it would be nice to walk along it as if you were taking a walk along the river.

Gantry Plaza State Park is a recommended spot I found in Long Island City, located on the south side of Manhattan Island, across the East River. There is a walkway along the river, and the view of Manhattan from here is simply beautiful. You can enjoy the spectacular view for free, including the skyscrapers that are typical of New York, the huge United Nations headquarters, and the quaint old bridge! The Pepsi sign is also a popular attraction. Relax on the grass, jog, chat with friends, and spend time relaxing with the locals. The view and the openness of the mind made me feel very comfortable. The park can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot from the Vernon Blvd-Jackson Ave station on the subway line 7.
